Since the OP is only sending IceBreakers, the Archive option would still be available...

It is possible that the OP's Matches are Archiving her, and because of that, there would be no feedback in terms of Response or Close.

(Yes, they should still show up in Who's Viewed Me, but in the case where they Archived her, they probably aren't going to view her again...)

OP: As others have mentioned, don't send IceBreakers.
If you are interested, just send first questions, and let the chips fall where they may.

Thanks all,

I've taken all of your advice and am now either sending first questions or closing new matches straight off (except for one or two exceptions).

Appreciate all your help.

In this way, I 'anonymously' view matches with delays in OC to see whether they've been online lately or not.
Lucky me that I still have the anonymous view feature! So I got that going for me, which is nice. Although I'm sure at some point a match will put two-and-two together and jump to irrational conclusions about why I've been a member so long.

Another quirk, well not really but I decided to close a few people I sent GC to because they never responded and hadn't been active for at least a month...Today, but some odd stroke of luck, I saw one had been active yesterday. So I re-opened and bumped. I'm sure it won't amount to anything, but as I think about it it's more likely a malfunction of the "last active" feature.
