OK, I am not the best-looking person in the world and I am very aware of that. But I'd like to be sure I'm putting the best face forward so I was going to post my photos (for a short time) to see what others think, if I can figure out how. To me these are the best recent photos of me, but if they are completely horrible, I'd like to know :-)

I'm 27 just for reference.

I think they're adorable!

Plus no ex-boyfriend (in the pic or cropped out), no kids, no self pics in the mirror or behind the wheel of your car, your shirt's on, and you are not posing with a group of gorgeous young people at a club.

I'll let you in on a little secret, you have a nice figure and that is really the thing that matters the most. So you should be golden.

Best of Luck

I think those are good pictures, you have a nice smile. The third one is really nice, nice lighting and pretty background but it's not detracting from you the subject. A tip I received was to include a picture in more dressy/formal clothing, so you might consider adding something like that. That is of course if you wear dresses regularly etc, if not then you wouldn't be showing the real you your match would expect to meet.

Pictures show your figure, close-up of your face. No clutter.

A guy can't ask for more in order to make an informed decision.

Thanks for the feedback!! I really appreciate it. I actually did try to take advice I'd read before on here, when choosing these photos. Glad to know it actually stuck :-)

I do not dress up very much, but should try to find one of me in at least something a little dressy, good tip.

Thanks again! :-)

For me, IMG_3900-2 has an odd pose. For want a better term, it seems more like a teenager than a photo I'd expect on a dating site. The clothing choices aren't helping, here.

Photo "Rembrandts," it's not clear what you seem to be holding between your chin and shoulder - again awkward. Being half in, and half out, of the light, and squinting due to it, is not good either. The lighting in this photo makes your hair look too grey for your age, too (a concern mainly because age misstatement is a common problem.)

Photo IMG_3119 is the best of the three, for me. The lighting is still wrong (and you're still squinting.) Although your profile will state your height anyway, the prominant railing makes you seem short; I would be careful to avoid background which calls attention like this.

***

Some overall comments:

- You seem to bow your head toward the camera - I would try not to.

- I'd show less of a "gummy" smile.

- Don't squint - best to avoid this harsh light completely. At least one photo should show your eyes clear enough (and focused directly on the lens) that your matches will sense you looking at them when they see that photo.

- I would show some photos in a greater diversity of settings. I'd prefer more wardrobe variety - and less wrinkly, too.

These do acheive one of the important requirements, though, which is that they show your figure. I don't think it's urgent, but for me I do think replacing them with some better ones is worthwhile.

Thanks for the honest feedback D_Lion! I am very short, so, not surprised that that shows up easily in the photos. And, my smile always looks like that- it's kind of just part of the way I look so I can't do a lot about it. I do realize it's different/maybe not the best, but I've learned to deal.

Didn't notice the gray-appearing hair in the Rembrandt's photo (It's a croissant I'm holding, by the way- not that that matters)- good point.

I will work on getting some photos in better clothes eventually though, and some where I'm not squinting (a tendency I have in most photos). I don't really have a lot of "just me" as I often end up being the photographer at most family/friend events instead of in many of the pictures. I guess I should ask start asking someone else to take some of me. Your advice will help!

Thanks!! :-)

I didn't mean the food ... there is what looks like a coiled telephone cord next to your right side cheek.
