Hi
I have been on EH for over a year and only have been on 4 first dates and all four were not the people i saw in the pics, What luck!!!. I have not gotten many communications so I am starting to think something is wrong with my profiles or woman are not liking my pics and think I am ugly... Not sure if this will work buy I am doing a copy and paste from my profile,

Please be honest and help!!!
Here are my pics
italo2275's Photostream

Like the white shirt and over the shoulder....I think overall your pics are okay. Get rid of yellow car and the neice is too much....better to just say looking to have kids.
EH Profile

The one thing I am most passionate about: Family and friends! Cooking new recipes and entertaining. Also, listening and dancing to Latin Music!

The most important thing I am looking for in a person is: Someone who is genuine, able to communicate effectively and tactfully and who is considerate, thoughtful.. lol.. wait- how many qualities is that..? :P

Basic Information

Occupation:I work as a Team Lead for a Support software company. Age36Height5' 11"(180 cm) Wants Kids:YesKids at Home:No
EthnicityWhite, non-HispanicReligion:Spiritual, but not religious Drinks:Several times a weekSmokes:Never

In my own words

The most influential person in my life has been:

My brother who, despite many challenges, continually worked very hard and became a successful person - always maintaining a positive attitude along the way.

My brother Bill, who despite going thru a heart transplant, always maintained a positive attitude.

The three things which I am most thankful for:
  • Health
  • Family
  • My Friends
Three of my best life-skills are:
  • Creating romance in a relationship
  • Communicating my innermost thoughts and feelings
  • Entertaining in my home
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me:

How genuine, authentic, transparent, and honest I really am! Even though we all seek to put our best foot forward when meeting someone, I let the other see my true self from the start!

This is a little too "gee whiillikers, I am see through!!!!"
So you got nothing for this answer....?

The things I can't live without are:
  • Dancing These first three are great if you expand on them...R&B, bbq and salsa dancing or Garth, grits and line dancing???? Be more specific.
  • Music
  • Food
  • Computer
  • Did I Mention Good Food?
The first thing people notice about me:

Easygoing and comfortable to be with! Outgoing, putting people at ease! Also, fun! Ability to share emotionally with another!

Some additional information I want you to know:

Very family-oriented person who loves family and enjoys spending time with my nephew and nieces. My little niece has me wrapped around her little finger and knows I would do anything for her!

My interests

I typically spend my leisure time:

Cooking - making new recipes I've seen on TV; visiting newly opened restaurants; photography; enjoying movies either out or at home; and Latin Dancing which brings out my passion for that type of music in particular - though I enjoy all kinds.

The last book I read and enjoyed:

"The Secret," by Rhonda Burn, about the Law of Attraction: Likes attract like! Basically, it's about the power of positive thinking.

According to my friends:

My friends describe me as:
  • Easy-Going
  • Passionate
  • Hard Working
  • Outgoing
I agree....too many exclamation points....I don't think I have EVER seen that many in a profile, actually. Calm down. You are not giving off a calm and confident vibe. Positive attitude is one thing this sounds....bouncing off the walls.

See notes above in blue.

They have covered the profile, I will add a few comments regarding the pictures.

I would redo the full length picture with a dark shirt, so you look a bit slimmer. From the pictures I'd guess you are 190-200lb range which is a tad overweight. So, if you are lighter then my point is made even more.

The picture I like the best is the one with two monitors though it might be a bit old (face thinner, more hair, CRT screen). If you decide to keep it crop out all the beer bottles on top shelf.

If you do any new pictures I'd lose the gold chain, as it does seem to have a negative connotation.

I would not use the picture on top of the mountain with you sitting down, as it does make you look heavier.

Ok Thanks for the pointers but I am who I am,yes I am a tad overweight and not sure I should hide that.If I do end up meeting someone in person, they will see me anyhow. I have had that experience to meet someone totally different then the pic and I did not appreciate that.

I think your photos are just fine... You're a handsome guy Personally, I don't mind the pic with your niece... That's something that would actually attract me (Then again...I have a pic of my dog on my profile... so maybe I'm not the best person to give advice ) The only things I would change and I believe you've done that already... would be to reduce the drinking a bit and the exclamation points (I spend 10 months of the year convincing kids that one is enough ) Best of luck!

I agree with most of what has already been said: I would remove the picture in the blue golf shirt and the pic with your niece. Random question: did your sibling give you permission to use the photo? I ask only because my brother explicitly asked me not to post any pics of his children on eH, FB, or anywhere else. I'm curious as to other opinions about that (not because I'm trying to be the picture police, lol!). I would also refrain from using so many exclamation marks. Otherwise, I think your profile looks great.

Being from Toronto - are you a Maple Leafs fan? GO STARS!

I agree. It's better to be zapped at stage 1 because your looks aren't to their tastes than to waste time communicating and meeting. That and, I may accept a less-than-ideal body if there are other things there, but if it's a deception sprung on me no way!

Re: Zapping the niece -- From my perspective--someone who has kids and am looking for a family-oriented lady, I give extra-weight to the ladies who post photos of themselves caring for a niece or friend's child. It all depends what he's looking for. If he's interested in women who have kids (but may be open to more) that's a plus.

The issue of obtaining permission is important.

Thanks I already removed the pics and only put 3 of them up. I am working hard to get in shape again hopefully they will not judge me just on my looks.
