I only have 7 people coming up for matches, is this normal? Will I get more tomorrow?

It's very normal, and yes, you'll likely get several each day for a little while.

When I first joined I had ZERO...but overnight I had about 8 and then 5 and then 7 etc... it takes time.

It depends on your settings of:

age
distance
religion
children
smoking
and other settings that you have priority on having or not.


In general if you live in a major metro area and have an age span of about 10 years and a distance of about 100 miles then you should be getting 4-7 matches a day....the larger areea you cover the more you will get.

When I was a member I had it national so I would get 6-9 daily. There were some days I only got 1 or 2 but I attributed that to system problem on EH part...like the matching system shut down for maintanence.



If you live in a smaller town with not that much within 60 miles of you...you dont have as large of a pool and EHarmony knows that so they will pace your matches. Based on your settings they may only find 200 people who match your criteria so they may restrict you to just one new match per day. Had they gave you 5 per day, within 6 weeks you would have gotten all the matches available to you.

EH only doles out your matches a few at a time. You could have "500 matches" currently in the system, but you will still only get them a few at a time. That's just how EH works.
