The last FCW was over the Memorial Day weekend. According to my calendar it was from May 27th to May 30th, ending at 11:59 PM PDT.

As a long time paying member, before I gave up this past February, I always found FCWs to be a very good opportunity to communicate and get dates with my matches. There is little reason for "time to run out" during a FCW unless one of you are not very interested. It is quite easy to get through the Guided Communication process and into Open Communication in an hour, I have done it in as little as 45 minutes.

I'm not a fan of the FCW either. I understand eHarmony's attempt at attracting and signing up new customers, but as a paying member, I've never found the interest level in the participants I've dealt with to be serious. One went so far as to go through the entire communication process, only to tell me in OC that she wasn't really interested, but wanted to see what this whole eHarmony thing was like.

I was disturbed by this, and immediately canceled my membership, telling eHarmony what I thought. While I understand not everybody is a shallow, narcissistic jerk, I didn't appreciate paying a rather handsome sum to use this site, only to be teased by someone merely kicking tires. In my opinion, that's what those worthless free sites are for.

As long as eHarmony is going to continue these FCWs, it would be nice if they let the paying members know they are a trial member and have not paid yet. At least I can enter communications with these people more aware of the potential for them disappearing.

yeah I think the Free Commuication "events" or weekends are indeed treated as kicking the tyres by some people.

There was something on a weekend after memorial day....I dont think it was last weekend but the weekend before. I saw ads about it free that weekends..just not sure if it allowed you to get to OC.
