Then the other really important thing is a good photo or photos. The one in your profile here is very good - good features and your hair looks very nice. Might look even nicer with it taken with your glasses off?

Actually the pic here is the main pic on my eH profile. There are 3, that one, one with a full grin at about the same distance and one with the glasses off and about half my torso in pic. I had a co-worker take the shots last January when I updated my profile last and she didn't think I needed a full length pic but evidently guys like that if what I read here is correct so maybe I should add some more. Several of the men I have met so far have commented that I look better in person so hopefully the lack of a full pic isn't a problem.

I like the rewrite of my map reading too. thanks

I would recommend it. If I don't see a full length pic, I assume that the person is hiding something. Obviously, you are not.

No I did see the joke in it! I was mearly pointing out that your marketplace - men who have probably dated a little, are very careful to avoid anyone who is out to be entertained.

How about this:-

"I love going on road trips (don't worry I also share the driving!) and probably unlike your typical date.... I can read a map! and I'm excellent at navigating when I'm in the passenger seat!"
That's pretty good.

I wrote something similar adding "and if you are very good, I might even let you drive."

Take the glasses off and smile (think happy thoughts like your upcoming vacation or your child/ pet.) People like to see a happy face. Your current avatar has a DMV-ish quality about it.

If the guys think you look better in person, then your photos may not be putting you in the best light (sorry- pun!)

avoid the temptation to put in your profile "people say I look better in person" as it's something people often write plus it's not necessary.
