Hi Maruli,

Sorry you haven’t been able to get your password reset. I’ll put you in touch with our Customer Care team and they’ll be able to help you.

Best,

Lori
I received the reset message as well, but after over a day, have received no email to be able to access the new password..what's up?

Empress, you should be hearing from our Advice Host, Kate shortly (if you haven't already).

Sorry for the trouble!

Folks, please be sure to note which account you're having trouble with, eHarmony, or eHarmony Advice. That'll help us make sure you get properly directed for help.

Thanks!

Hi MicMan,

Here is all of the information I have at this time

eharmony Corporate Blog - February 10, 2011

Best,
Lori

Thanks Lori. Pretty much confirms what I suspected.

This is the kind of thing that I really think should be emailed to all members too. I don't think most people would think to look at the eHarmony Corporate Blog, but that's just my opinion.
MicMan I agree with you completely, the users should have been individually notified.

I was not aware that there was an eHarmony Corporate Blog. And I certainly would not have considered that it would be necessary for me to go to it to find out why I was having to reset my passwords for both the eHarmony dating site and eHarmony Advice site.

Actually I am not feeling at all patient about the current snafu's on both sites. I might have felt some if Eh or Eha had been up front about notifying me of problems and changes. But since they feel no such compunctions for the coutesy common to such practices, then I have no patience and will expect to be extended the amount of time on my membership that Eh is not working properly. This was my first time back as a paying member in quite a while and let me just say this: not impressed.

All the changes and upgrades seem to be short cuts or attempts to give eH more match / fish /cupid appeal........with the FCE tag-line: review your matches....free! Sadly, this morphing to a neither -here-nor-there place doesn't work.

Also part of their market research is lurking the boards with hypothetical scenarios such as log-in tracking (again attempts to other-site morph). Things that made eH unique amongst a sea of dating sites are disappearing, and ironically, loosing their edge.

The upgrades are technical nightmares disguised as "features" such as closed matches appearing on homepage "updates"...... It seems the IT and marketing of late is not what it used to be.
Unfortunately, have to agree with this:

I apologize if I am asking in the wrong place, but I've looked all over the eharmony site itself and can't find any link to technical support (only a Help FAQ which deals with 13 general issues)--is there such a thing/person to contact with specific technical problems?

I'm still not seeing any new matches, despite the number of matches increasing by 7 each day, or receiving any new communications, which is odd, because I was getting at least one or two every couple of days up until 2/8. Basically, everything has gone dead silent with my profile page. The 'activity' stream has gone to a crawl the past few days. I've cleaned out my browser cache with no difference. I suspect some type of glitch, and that's mostly because eH is obviously matching me with new matches but not letting me see them. The other parts of the system appear to have totally stopped functioning for me.

That wouldn't necessarily bother me, but earlier this week I had reached OC with someone promising and we hadn't yet exchanged numbers and I had just sent her an email before this 'glitch' started and haven't heard back, and was alittle concerned that maybe we'd lose contact in the interim.

Is there a tech person I can discuss this issue with directly? Thx for any help.

Hi BBLAW,

I hope you already got help, and this is just for future reference, but you can click one of the categories in the Help/FAQs section in order to get to a place where you can send a message to Customer Care.
Often these types of inquiries are handled through written messages, because they require documentation of the details of the matches, etc.
Anyway, as I said, I hope it's a moot point.

All the best,

~Kate
