Hello, so I just signed up for this and got the paying subscription thing and already I find it quite annoying like the whole matching system thing. I relaxed quite alot of my criterias so far and I get no matches what so ever, is this quite normal? Also, how do you check out people's profile and what is gc requess, what do you do with them?

Are you as caustic as your profile name? Maybe your profile is caustic too!!!!

1. be patient... in my experience, it can take eH at least 24 hours to deliver you any matches after you sign up (maybe longer if you live in a rural area)

2. GC means Guided Communication. Once you get a match, you can choose to initiate communication with them by using Guided Communication, you send 5 pre-formulated questions, they send you 5 questions back, etc. The alternative is to go to eH email directly, which several people (on these boards, me included) would not recommend using, at least during your early stages on eH.

3. be patient...

EH is not a searchable site so you can't just check out random profiles. You have to wait until they are sent to you by EH. A Guided Communication Request means that someone has sent you the first step in the EH process, the five short answer questions. You answer those and then send five of your own, from the list of available questions.

Sorry if "Lye" means something else in another language... I found it interesting that you chose it for your eHA profile name. I am curious now, why did you choose that name?
