Here's an updated version of my profile. The previous version can be found at:
http://advice.eharmony.com/boards/da...male-29-a.html (Profile Review: Male / 29)

Thanks again for the input.

The one thing I am most passionate about:
I am passionate about helping people. It is something I have felt strongly about since middle school. Helping others is something I always found fulfilling. Currently, I am working on helping underserved communities from a policy perspective. I like to hear what people have to say and how their communities can be improved.

The most important thing I am looking for in a person is:
The most important thing I am looking for is someone who is smart and funny. I tend to click with people who are deep thinkers and can analyze life's complexities. I am looking for someone I can have deep conversations with about various stuff like art, politics, society or anything we may have in common. But at the same time I like to goof off. So I guess I'm looking for someone who can do both.

* About Me
Basic Information
Occupation: Urban Planner for Public Transit
Age 29
Height 5' 11"
Wants Kids: Maybe
Kids at Home: No
Ethnicity Hispanic or Latino
Religion: Spiritual, but not religious
Drinks: A few times a year
Smokes: A few times a year

In my own words
The most influential person in my life has been:
It's hard to pinpoint one person, but it would probably be my track coach from high school. He was cool yet was able to get the best out of us by being honest and real. I felt like I could relate to him and yet he could get the best out of us.

The three things which I am most thankful for:
* My Masters degree which will allow me to serve communities in need.
* My family for always being there.
* My friends for allowing me to express myself.

Three of my best life-skills are:
* Understanding local, national, and world events
* Entertaining in my home
* Being a good friend and companion

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me:
I wish more people would notice sense of humor such as my sarcasm and dry wit. I have a blast with people who are into that type of humor.

The things I can't live without are:
* Movies. I am a bit of a movie buff. There's nothing like watching a good movie. I recently saw the Social Network which I thought was awesome and I love Aaron Sorkin. Breaking Bad is also awesome.
* I also enjoy good books like John Adams.
* My running shoes allow me to release stress. I also lift weights every other day.
* Sports. I love watching boxing. I also just got into soccer. I also like baseball and basketball.
* Youtube. I love watching funny videos.

The first thing people notice about me:
People say that I am mellow and smart. People seem to like my mellow nature and how I am calm under pressure. People in my job compliment me for not panicking ever and coming through. Other people have told me that they judge me as being a deep thinker as well.

Some additional information I want you to know:
I love public service and serving communities that are often looked over. I really admire people who work in fields where they help others. I guess I'd also be considered the intellectual type. I like talking about all types of stuff like art, politics and life. I am fairly laid back but I'm looking to have fun too.

My interests
I typically spend my leisure time:
I exercise almost every day after work. I run a hard 15 miles a week and lift weights. I'm also talking salsa classes which are fun especially when I get the hang of it. And like I said before, I love good movies. I don't really like pop movies like Transformers. I'm more into creative movies like Pulp Fiction, No Country for Old Men, The Dark Knight and others. Dr. Stranglelove is my favorite.

The last book I read and enjoyed:
I am reading the first Sherlock Holmes novel A Study in Scarlet (I love my Kindle). It's the book where the reader is introduced to the character of Sherlock Holmes for the first time. I can relate to Sherlock Holmes to some extent because I like to analyze things that other folks overlook.

According to my friends:
My friends describe me as:
* Genuine
* Caring
* Loyal
* Intelligent

Hilarious birthday card.

Hi Spengler -- It's a very good profile, good improvements over your last version. I think it will be attractive to the kind of woman you are looking for.

The only things I'd suggest changing are:

(1) Your "additional info" isn't really additional -- it's repetitious. You can leave this section blank. I think of it as more for statements like "My job is moving to Ohio in 1 year so must be able to relocate" or "I have joint custody of my child" or "I am willing to consider long distance relationship" -- the kind of thing that isn't covered elsewhere in the profile.

(2) Your photos are very good, except for the one with your friends -- your friend in the middle looks kind of angry! and it's distracting. Delete this photo (even though it's a good shot of you). But if you really want to keep it, caption it in a good way -- make a little joke about friend's expression or something.

Good luck with your search!

Thanks for the input. I might make a sarcastic comment about my friend. He thinks he looks better with an angry face for some reason...

LOL! That's cute. You could use that for your caption. "I'm on your right ... the guy next to me thinks he looks better with an angry face. :-O"
