Hello! I haven't been on eharmony for about a year (and this site for a while either) but I'm back and hoping for some feedback. I did keep quite a bit of my profile from last time- but some is new (for those of you who were around last time that are kind enough to view it this time). I'm tougher this time than the last time- so tell me what you really think and I'll take it to heart. Pictures will be in my profile (except I have 7 up and I can only upload 3- apparently they are too big...and I'm not technilogical enough to resize). Cheers!

The one thing I am most passionate about:
By far cooking and baking have taken over as my major passion. I LOVE to experiment in the kitchen. I've been a vegetarian since I was 3 and only recently started eating meat- so it's been amazing to try so many new things. I'm planning on opening a catering/take out venture when my daughter starts school. By the way that my fish taco have become legend among my friends, I just know that this is my calling.

The most important thing I am looking for in a person is: I'm looking for a best friend..but in a more tangible sense; I must have someone that wants to do things...The fun stuff, like camping, bowling, going to the theatre...to the mundane everyday stuff- like taking back recycling and grocery shopping. I guess the most important thing I'm looking for is that he be a man of action. Someone with the same level of ambition that I have.

Basic Information

Occupation:Business owner Age27Height5' 6"
- OR -
167 cm. Wants Kids:MaybeKids at Home:Yes
EthnicityWhite, non-HispanicReligion:Spiritual, but not religious Drinks:About once a weekSmokes:A few times a year

In my own words

The most influential person in my life has been:

My daughter has changed my life completely. She has turned my life upside down and made me rethink everything about who I am...so that I can be the best parent/role model...so that I can guide her to be the best and truest version of herself- because if I'm not true to who I am, how can I expect her to be? The same goes for being happy, compassionate, honest and kind- I need to truthfully live that to empower her later.

The three things which I am most thankful for:
  • All the Cliches...my daughter, my family, my friends, my job, my education, etc...
  • My extremely determined nature.
  • The day I realised that we create our own destiny. It gave me the courage/empowerment to be responsible for my life.
Three of my best life-skills are:
  • Achieving personal goals
  • Entertaining in my home
  • Maintaining a network of close friends
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me:

Well, I think for the most part- I think I'm perceived dead on by people...I guess the only thing I really would like is that more funny, cute, single guys would notice that I'm single too

According to my friends:

My friends describe me as:
  • Funny
  • Ambitious
  • Easy-Going
  • Thoughtful
I typically spend my leisure time:

Leisure time is special to me so I like to fill it. I love going to pubs (mmm...stouts and porters) or out to dinner. I love running outside in the summer and I'm currently working my endurance because I enjoy long distance running (even though it kills me). I enjoy the camping thing when it's warm; going for hikes and burning mashmellows over an open fire..picking berries and working on growing my garden. I enjoy the theatre, hiking, weekend getaways in Canmore (mmm...Communitea) and going to see movies at the Globe.

The last book I read and enjoyed:

I'm reading Snow Falling on Cedars. I don't know if I like it yet as I'm only half way through it but I am really enjoying hearing the life stories of the characters and why they are who they are. I love Gone with the Wind, Freakonomics, Life of Pi, A Fine Balance, and all of the Harry Potter series. I love Robin Hobb and...I just love reading...

I love it so far... seems like you're missing a few fields though?

Only advice so far is you fall into the shopping-list trap lots of people fall into on the "what I'm looking for" part. It asks for what the most important thing is; when a woman asks for the moon and stars under that question, it's an indicator your expectations might be unreasonable.

Oh Thanks- I didn't realise my copy and pasting didn't work on it.

And for the "what I'm looking for"...I'm trying to explain ambition, because I don't want to be simplified and misinterpreted. I'm looking for a go getter, a do-er...Someone who has it together (because I do and I need someone that can keep up with me). Any thoughts on paraphrasing?

Yeah, this is really good. With a good picture (which you have) I'd definitely respond to this match.

One other thought... the thing where you wish for more attention from funny single guys... it's cute, but consider removing that. Wanting guys falling all over you could be seen by some guys as a turn-off.

I wouldn't change it much, but once you throw ambition in there you're into a different category of qualities you're asking for. That's the only reason I pointed it out.

Good luck!

Check your spelling, grammar and punctuation use more carefully. There are errors in all three areas.

Okay, I went through and spell checked and re-worked some of my wording through out and changed my what I'm looking for section. Does it work better?

The one thing I am most passionate about:
I LOVE to experiment in the kitchen. Cooking and baking have totally become a passion that I not only enjoy but am good at! I've been a vegetarian since I was 3 and only recently started eating meat, so it's been amazing to try/experiment with so many new things. I'm planning on opening a catering/take out venture when my daughter starts school. By the way that my fish tacos (and key lime cake) have become legend among my friends, I just know that this is my calling.

The most important thing I am looking for in a person is: I'm looking for a best friend that I can achieve mutual goals and dreams with. I'm looking for an equal partner and I think the most important quality a man (in my opinion) can possess would be ambition. I want someone that has the energy to do the fun stuff: camping, bowling, going for hikes...and also has the motivation to share in the mundane everyday things like: going grocery shopping, keeping up with the house and recycling. I mean, that's just little things, I know...but put together with two people motivated in their careers and it can mean a good life.

I'm currently researching how to brew my own) or out to dinner. DING DING DING!!! WE HAVE A WINNER!

This is probably the best profile I have ever read!

I get a real sense of energy and enthusiasm about you, and a willingness to share who you are and what you want!

RE: the one thing you want noticed more... revert to your intial paragraph, please. You added "often" in an awkward place that doesn't read right to me.

This is the first time I've noticed this... we read into the profiles who we are and what we want and give feedback accordingly.

I think I'm a lot like you, and therefore the whole thing resonated with me. Re the "shopping list" if this is what you want, don't worry about turning off any guys because they won't be the ones you want to attract anyway! Be who you are and want what you want. All you need it the right ONE, and even if you attract only one match, if he's the right one, you're a winner!

I told you we resonate!

Look at my profile here on eHA. What do you see that seems familiar? How about...

"But wait! There's more!"

I would recommend indicating book titles by using quotation marks, since italics aren't available on EH, particularly as you are listing several books. This is a grammatical faux pas that is prevalent on EH - suddenly knowledge of grammar flies out the window.
