Did everyone notice that now you can tell what day every member logged in? It's right next to the member's name when you click on their profile.

My view on this is that this feature should not be there - or we should have the option to turn it off. EHarmony is supposed to be different than those lower cost or free dating websites - more discrete.

With the ability of other members to see when the day I've last logged on (today, yesterday, etc), I am feeling pressured to continue communication with all... whereas I'd prefer sometimes to advance communication with certain members more quickly than others.

I would suggest one of:

(a) Making this feature optional so members can turn it off.

(b) Making it more vague such as limiting the information to "active in last 4 days" as the smallest amount of time. Then "active within 1 week" and "active within 2 weeks" and "active over 2 weeks".

Any other thoughts out there?

Considering there are accounts that you will get matched with that have been inactive for years (yes, years - someone I was matched with was kind enough to put a date in their profile), you may end up liking this feature as it will save you a lot of time.

This isn't something I can see, but I'm no longer a paying member. There have also been sloooow roll outs of new features in the past.

FINALLY!!

insert fireworks..

If this is true, this would be a true upgrade to the site..

There shouldn't be an option to turn this off. It would help EVERYONE to know if their matches are active, inactive or just dead!

I don't see it on my screen.

Please attach a screen dump of how this looks onto the thread.

eH is known to do new feature roll-outs in waves.. not everyone gets it at the same time..

However I think Lori, Renee or Kate would've told us this was coming. They have done so in the past with changes..

I'll believe it when I see it..

A last-login indicator is a "feature" some people on these boards have been requesting for a long time.

Generally, the arguments in favor of such an indicator have been supported by rather unbelievable self-reported statistics about the number of dead profiles people think they're being matched with. Personally, when I was a member I never had a problem with too many dead matches, but perhaps eH has decided it's time to prove a point to its membership base.

I think releasing this indicator without an "off" option would be a mistake, as the discretion and relative security eH provides its members is one of the site's few competitive advantages. I don't like it, but I respect that others will disagree.

No one can confirm this...........paying or not........it does not appear..........however if they do, it would them on the same low level as other stalkable sites..........Please verify what you are saying.

I don't understand this talk about it being "stalkerish." I can only imagine it would boost membership as probably one of the most common reasons paying members choose to deactivate their accounts is not being able to tell which members are active.
