So I decided to give eH another go after taking a break from dating, I've had moderate success in meeting women and now that I'm back I'd like to get some feedback on my profile so I can gauge whether I should spice it up or tone it down. Thanks beforehand.

Basic Information
Occupation: Filmmaker & Web Designer
Age 27
Height 5' 10"
Wants Kids: Maybe
Kids at Home: No
Ethnicity Hispanic or Latino
Religion: Spiritual, but not religious
Drinks: About once a week
Smokes: Never

The one thing I am most passionate about:
I'm most passionate about creativity, being creative, being able to use my imagination to produce. And whether it's a professional craft like working as a filmmaker and web designer, or if it's an amateur hobby it's something that truly provokes me to express myself. I've been involved in artistic crafts since my youth and the impact has been quite profound, I'm fortunate that I'm able to pursue endeavors in the arts as a career and do something I treasure.

The most important thing I am looking for in a person is:
One quality I seek in a woman is that she be able to openly communicate. I find communication to be very essential in any kind of relationship, more so in a romantic/intimate relationship because it is the basis for which two people can be understood; without it a couple tends to drift apart mentally and disconnect as each develops their own world view instead of sharing it.

The most influential person in my life has been:
I don't have a definitive single person that has had the most influence on me. For me influence comes from everywhere, from everyone, from everyday life, from quotes, from insignificant phrases someone may utter, from differing perspectives. One always needs to be open to the outside world and not be limited.

The three things which I am most thankful for:
Creative Freedom
Family
Technology

Three of my best life-skills are:
Making art and culture an ongoing part of my life
Achieving personal goals
Finding pleasure and contentment in simple things

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me:
Some people underestimate some of my abilities, whether they are artistic or intellectual or work related. It's nothing to fret about, it's pure motivation.

The things I can't live without are:
The mountains & nature
Computer
Sushi & Taquerias
Literature & Films
Exercise

The first thing people notice about me:
I never get riled up for any insignificant reasons and hold my composure incredibly well no matter the situation.

Some additional information I want you to know:
I characterize my personality as one of a free-spirit in that I enjoy going at my own pace and not being bound by conventions and ideals. I tend to have spurts of busyness and equally stretches of leisure time; all in all it's all rather flexible. So ladies if you can keep up with me on this mountain trail I look forward to reaching the peak with you.

I typically spend my leisure time:
I absolutely adore the outdoors and whenever I get a chance to hike/camp/mountain bike I'm more than willing to go! Other tidbits about my leisure time enjoyments include going to baseball/hockey games, spending quality time with close friends/workmates, cooking/BBQ for friends/family, going bowling or the billiard hall, setting bonfires at the beach, solving crossword puzzles, trying new foods, and working out/staying in shape.

The last book I read and enjoyed:
I usually pick up a set of books, say 3 or 4, and will read those in succession. My current batch of books include The Holographic Universe and Last Words (George Carlin's biography).

My friends describe me as:
Creative
Genuine
Articulate
Passionate

I've been involved in artistic crafts since my youth and the impact has been quite profound, I'm fortunate that I'm able to pursue endeavors in the arts as a career and do something I treasure. Nice! It's great to see a profile where passion is so well described.

Being nit picky, I'd take off that last part about drifting apart. I get what you are saying, but it can also be interpreted as you possibly losing your identity in a relationship. Again, being nit picky here.

A lot of people want to hear about a specific person, but I actually like this answer, especially the last sentence. I think it says more about your outlook in life than talking about any one particular individual would.

This reads really odd.....does it mean that you come across as lazy and unmotivated??? This may be a good place to insert something humorous rather than trying to pull out a serious answer that comes across negatively.

I tend to have spurts of busyness and equally stretches of leisure time; all in all it's all rather flexible. So ladies if you can keep up with me on this mountain trail I look forward to reaching the peak with you. This is another one where you might want to reconsider what you put here. It kind of comes across as the unemployed/rarely employed artist. At around 27, people are starting to have thoughts of family and stability, so an emphasis on free spirit will not appeal to that many.

My comments above along with the usual disclaimer that I'm only pointing out on how something may be misread or misinterpreted and not on you as a person. To be honest, for the most part I like your profile and would communicate if matched.

Thanks for the different perspective on the various points in my profile. I definitely don't want to come across as a lazy person or starving artist since I'm quite an active-industrious-motivated worker. I'll be tweaking how those points are read.

Maybe it's just me, but this reads like utter nonsense. Then again, I'm not an Artsy kind of guy, and you might have better luck with women who can appreciate an Artist I guess. Again, it might just me, but the typical Artist "I'm inspired by everything around me" reads like BS for me
.

The three things which I am most thankful for:
Creative Freedom More artist reference... Personally, I don't like repeating myself. Your call though.
Family
Technology People often advise against mentioning technology of any sort in here

Another thing to keep in mind here, is that these fields are not strict in their character limits. You could stand to elaborate on them a little bit. Nothing too long, but a few words as to why you're thankful for each could help.

Three of my best life-skills are:
Making art and culture an ongoing part of my life
Achieving personal goals
Finding pleasure and contentment in simple things

Some people underestimate some of my abilities, whether they are artistic or intellectual or work related. It's nothing to fret about, it's pure motivation. Okkkkkkkaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?????????.......... Doesn't really tell me much to be honest. Are you trying to imply a certain "I'm an artist and won't be appreciated until I'm dead" kind of thing here?

The things I can't live without are:
The mountains & nature
Computer
Sushi & Taquerias
Literature & Films
Exercise

I agree with DancingFool here about the free spirit thing. Also not sure about your last sentence, particularly the "ladies if you can keep up with me" part.

My comments above in blue. Everything I didn't comment on I actually thought was very very good. I don't claim to know right from wrong, and I don't really have a v*g*na so don't really know how it might come off for the ladies. Still, just my thoughts.

i like your profile - it is not often that i've seen a man's profile expressing interest in creativity. you seem well rounded too, with the inclusion of outdoor activity, and your approach to reading material. and finally, the words you've used to put your profile together give me the sense that you're intelligent and well spoken, and probably a great communicator.

Agree with other posts, very unique and well written profile.
There is only one line I would delete:
Way too open to innuendo, even though it sounds clever .Plural "ladies" screams of player, could be a real turn off, can really backfire rather than sound sexy

So ladies if you can keep up with me on this mountain trail I look forward to reaching the peak with you.
