Have you ever forgotten you were in communication with a match? The situation could be of many forms, you are in contact with several guys and they were pushed to the bottom. You had a forced absence from eH and even when you did log back in, that person wasn't in the front of your mind to get back to.

Ever done this? Why?

I did. I was in communication with a few men and was sure to get back to each one in the order they got back to me (no favorites). Well, suddenly there was a nudge in my inbox and I was perplexed. Who could I have forgotten, I was pretty consistent in my responses (timing, length of response, etc). Turns out it was some guy who had contacted me first and I was skeptical to begin with. I closed him after reading his profile again. No need to drag out what I knew wouldn't work.

A new category of what's up with these matches

From other threads we have:

1) Deadheads (nonpaying or expired members)

2) Zombie (can't close or archive, no option )

3)Night of the Living Dead (reappear after closing)

4) Ghosts..Matched 40 years ago (new phone app style matches)

And a new category:
Forgotten, but alive and not closed.

I've had poofers reemerge that I've completely forgotten about, but that's really about it.

I've also had dormant matches come back to life.

I tend to "ignore" someone until meeting. I reply to communications as rapidly as I'm able, but I have zero interest in someone until meeting.

Periodically, a match will send a communication after a long gap (I had one still in GC in the summer, who was a match from December.)

I guess the only match that might fit in this category is a match that I started communicating with near the end of a FCW but did not make it to Open Communication. When the next FCW came around I sent a Nudge and she responded getting to OC and providing her personal e-mail. I sent a message to her personal e-mail and never heard back from her on eHarmony or personal e-mail. I eventually gave up on her and finally closed the match.

I have never had a match send me a Nudge.
