Can closed matches still view you?

If you close a match, they can still view your profile, right? And if they view you, will it show up in the list of people who view you?

Yes they can.. and no they don't show up under the who's viewed me tab... however there was a bug going around with the new interface that closed matches were showing up..hopefully its been fixed..

Hi Jaytee83,

If you're seeing the Views of closed matches, it is, as TrekRyder10 said, a technical issue and should be reported.

You can send a message through our Help page: eHarmony Support Home Page. Just make sure you let us know what the name and location of that match is. It will help our technicians to identify the match if you also include your match's age and when you were matched.

That was happening before the new interface.
I had a match I had met and dated a few times (that had been closed about a month) contact me through e-mail with a comment on my profile I had updated.
Needless to say I was very livid about that.

It is very possible he was looking at the Closed Match, and saw the change.

I believe it has occurred now with the new interface they have rolled out.
I believe this because I am NOT on the new interface, and I have never seen this issue before.

I was notified of a closed match having up loaded a pic. I had closed him for lack of it even after nudges and even going through GC.
I checked. He hadnt (or took it back down). So he remained closed.
Is that on the same line of what your talking about?

Not sure if this applies or not but after I re-took the questionnaire, I noticed that over 3 weeks a match that I had closed (in February!!!) for lack of moving forward with GC had been viewing my profile 1-2 times a week. He was showing up in my who's viewed me profile. I requested that the match be re-opened and he accepted. Will see how it goes, this time.

IMO having any match view your profile is a good thing. At least you know they are alive. May not be paying members but at least they are alive.

Second. While I agree with those who would then add to this that still views aren't important as those who actually answer communication requests, it's at least a nice litmus test to some level of activity...even if it's not the activity you want.
