I was just wondering what the deal could be here. I am from Alabama and have my settings for match distance set for the whole state of Alabama. However, over the weekend, I literally only had 2 matches. In the past week and a half, I have had maybe 4 total. What's the deal here? I find it hard to believe that out of a whole state, I'm only compatible with 4 women. Although I could be wrong, haha.

How long have you been a member? when the the last time you took the questionnaire?

You may also want to check your match criteria settings.. where is the slide ruler positioned?

I signed up for a 6 month membership in May of this year. I would get matches on average of about 4-5 a day and went on a couple dates with a few matches.

I ended up dating someone for a little while that I did not meet from eHarm and it didn't work out so a couple weeks ago I extended my membership for another 6 months (until May of 2011 because the price offer was really good) and since then, I hardly ever get matches anymore.

I dunno, before it seemed as though I was getting a lot of matches, but now I'm lucky to get any and usually when I do now, it's incomplete or they have no picture.

I have sent two matches the first 5 questions, one closed immediately and the other has viewed my profile nearly every day but has not answered the questions.

Just wondering what the deal may be here. I'll recheck my settings though. Also how do you go about retaking the questionnaire?

Kinda stumped myself.. I read your profile review and your pics are good.. so it just may be some of your settings or a really small dating pool...According to quancast Ala has about 44k unique cookies on eH. cut that in half for male to female, then take 10% of that. its possible you pool could only be less than 2,000

Call customer-care and ask to retake the questionnaire..

Looking at my settings the two things that I have the slider most if not all the way up are smoking and ethnicity. Other than that, everything is pretty much in the middle or all the way down.

Can non-paying members put a group of pictures up? The two that I have sent 5 questions to have multiple pictures and complete profiles. I guess they just may not be interested, but they have viewed my profile a couple times since I sent the questions, but no response yet. I'm not gonna get my feelings hurt over it either way, but don't want to be paying for this stuff and get no matches.

I think no matter where you live you'll pretty much exhaust your dating pool from eH in a few months, unless you cast a huge net that covers a wide area. I had my match distance set at 30 miles and that included all of Philadelphia, some of the surrounding counties plus the metro area on my side of the river - a total area with a population in the millions, probably close to your entire state. After about 3 months, the matches ran out and I started getting 'flexible' matches (no, not gymnasts) from North Jersey, New York, Delaware, Maryland and the other side of Philly. All too far away.

So now you'll get them in dribs and drabs and maybe a burst on free communication weekends. The trick about FCW's is you have to move quickly through the communication stages on a holiday weekend when you're probably already doing something other than mulling over your dating life at a computer screen.
