Am I missing something???

My impression from reading the e-mail is that it's EH's attempt at educating users on how to navigate EH and a PR bit about what a great and successful way to meet the right one.

I haven't heard anything about it but would be curious to know more about what it is.

I'm assuming its a perk for paying members:

It will make your heart pound, your knees weak and your palms sweat. It's love:live!

Join us on Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 9pm ET/ 6pm PT for eHarmony's first-ever, interactive webisode that follows a REAL eHarmony member on her relationship journey.

  • See who she's matched with, follow her communication process and meet the man she chooses for her first eHarmony date
  • Watch the date unfold and see how she and her mystery match think it went
  • Hear from a couple who found success through eHarmony

So they're trying to persuade more people to pay to join?

Boredom. A mind-crushing, soul-scorching boredom so vast it is beyond human comprehension.

That, or maybe to take a break from the white-knuckle, cliff-hanging thrills of watching paint dry.

I wonder: do we get to watch Beverly and her lucky guy navigate through reams and reams of bafflingly mismatched eHarmony "matches" and endure one squirrelly "poofer" after another before finally finding (by sheer dumb luck, of course) connubial bliss in one anothers arms?

This could be good.

I could continue that - with

"We can watch and share Beverly's frustration as she is closed over and over by live, paying members and she wonders 'is it my breath, my deodorant, or something I say in my profile?' "

and

"Observe Beverly's deftness at archiving and then closing Match after Match, going effortlessly through 500 Matches in six months!"

I saw Mr. Right's testimonial and his Success Story. I am proud that he found Mrs. Right and honeymooned in Maui. But 4,500 matches, 1,500 of them on eHa? Jeez! I am not sure I am up to that, or have the patience.

Live love on the internet usually requires a credit card.

The skeptic in me knows this will be nothing but a glorified commercial with paid actors talking about how great eHarmony is and how awesome the date is and so on and so forth.

Let's be real here. Does anyone really believe we're going to see these people go out on an awkward first date and then talk about how they really don't have much in common?
