Not yet, though a few opportunities have come my way. I do plan to, at the moment.

Plenty of people here have met, and some have married.

I think this service is better than a dating site, in that people have provided far more information - more honestly - than on a dating site.

(In my case, I'd guess I've written three million words ... you think this could scare anyone off, but perhaps not.)

If you are interested in certain people, I encourage you to send them a message to let them know. (As always, the person might not share that interest.)

A better option is to use the service actively, create a complete profile, flirt ...

Lots of people from the boards have met.

In fact, two of them got married this weekend.

And, that's not the first eHA wedding, either.

So, although this isn't a dating site (and, I certainly wouldn't participate here in the hope of meeting someone), there are a lot of singles here who are interested in finding a relationship, and sometimes they find that they have lots more in common than that.

I've never met anybody here...came close with one person but never happened....besides being mysterious is part of my sexy identity.

I did get a couple marriage proposals already, but I'm an exception.

There are a whole bunch of people that have met, dated, and/or married from these boards. Sometimes I think it has a better success rate than the dating site.

people meeting people on line - with a
'thread' of interest linking them...

It's not that surprising, really. It happens at all kinds of other sites, too, where people get to know each other online (and, the fact that there is a very high proportion of single people interacting here makes it more likely that some will end up connecting).

Still, there are thousands of people who visit this site every day, but only a relatively teensy number ever form romantic relationships (not all of which succeed -- there have been some "horror" stories, too... ).

Not exactly...

There are a few that I know of that are in my area and I'd hang out with any of them, but, don't see it as anything more than just fun.

There are a few that I would be interested in if they lived in my area, but, they don't live close enough. But, I'd love to meet them if they happen to be in town or I'm in their town.

I have many friendships with people in my area that I first met online. I've met many other people who have visited my area or I've visited their area. I would not hesitate to meet anyone; I've had nothing but positive experiences.
