Hey guys and gals, I'm a guy new to eharmony and would like your input on how to improve my profile as well as any comments on what I'm doing right/how to keep running with that.

My aim was to keep it conversational, somewhat detailed, and add a touch of humor while staying true to my personality. Please let me know if I've achieved that.

So here it is:

The one thing I am most passionate about:

I'm an idea person and I love knowledge and I'm quite creative so I'm drawn to great books about psychology (Therapy, Developing your character), business (Entrepreneurship) and literature (David Copperfield, Anna Karenina). I also love thinking about and working on my grand purpose in life to at least be a millionaire (shooting for billionaire) and donating alot of it to the needy and poor after I leave this earth. Video games are one of my passions as well. I love everything from PS3-Xbox to strategy games online. Running out of space but I love talking to passionate people with goals about what they want to do in life.

The most important thing I am looking for in a person is:

I'm looking for someone who is emotionally mature and affectionate/caring/supportive/nurturing and has strong character.

The three things which I am most thankful for:

* Being blessed with a moral character by God to treat others well and be completely open to who they really are instead of others want them to be. As well as the ability and inclination to lift the poor and needy up through charity.
* My family. My father and mother have given up most of their adult life and their own families in their own country to give me great opportunities to become great and benefit others in America.
* Emran and Amir and their mother - my best friends since birth (known them for about 21 years). They are counted as family in my book. Without them I would have had more trouble becoming the confident, well-adjusted and ambitious person I am today.

Three of my best life-skills are:

* Using humor to make friends laugh
* Long-term personal planning
* Continuing to expand my knowledge and awareness

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me:

I'm pretty expressive and can be sensitive in a good way at times as well. The people who are closer to me usually see that side of me more.

The things I can't live without are:

* Family
* Best friends
* Internet
* Ideas
* A shower (years since caveman days people!)

The first thing people notice about me:

I look my age but when I speak people say I sound pretty mature.

Some additional information I want you to know:

I have a pretty big extended family living here in Vegas and I love it. One quote that I like to live by is: "This is the true joy in life: Being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one, being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances, complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it what I can." - George Bernard Shaw. Oh and im slim and athletic as you can see better in one of the photos. Hard to make that out sometimes .

I typically spend my leisure time:

Eating and sleeping! Oh crap, I have to be serious huh... hmm.. honestly just learning new things, teaching and talking to people about things and ideas I found out, and just hanging out with people who its easy to talk to. I also love dancing and salsa even though I might step on your feet a few times here and there. Damn, I've gotta go dancing sometime soon, been busy . Oh and video games. I can own a lot of people on fighting games like Tekken and Soul calibur. Guess I'm a kid at heart. I also love watching movies, checking out plays/comedy clubs and concerts.

The last book I read and enjoyed:

Anna Karenina. I enjoyed the way Leo Tolstoy conveyed upper class Russian life to be part ordinary and slice of life and part romantic. It really opened my eyes up to a more exciting view of my daily life.

My friends describe me as:

* Ambitious
* Spiritual
* Caring
* Intelligent

In my opinion, the first part of this is great. Nice and detailed and gives a good sense of who you are, what your goals and visions are. The video games is something that might fit better in the leisure time section. I like the last sentence, but that, too, might fit better in another section (like what you would like people to notice about you, etc.)

The most important thing I am looking for in a person is:

I'm looking for someone who is emotionally mature and affectionate/caring/supportive/nurturing and has strong character.
While this is a lovely description, it seems kind of the basic types of things that people universally look for in a partner. You may want to think of qualities that are unique -- what uncommon qualities are you looking for? If you stick with the ones you have, you may want to give concrete examples so it comes to life for your matches.

The good thing about this is that while you include some things that are universal to most people's "thankful" list, you give personal details that set them apart. I do think, though, that these are kind of long. You may want to cut them down to a brief line for better readability.

Three of my best life-skills are:

* Using humor to make friends laugh
* Long-term personal planning
* Continuing to expand my knowledge and awareness

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me:

I'm pretty expressive and can be sensitive in a good way at times as well. The people who are closer to me usually see that side of me more. I like this. Can't think of anything to critique.

The things I can't live without are:

* Family
* Best friends
* Internet
* Ideas
* A shower (years since caveman days people!)
I like the humor added on the end here, and that one stands out the most to me. To set your answers apart, you may want to be more specific with each. Also, since you mentioned family and friends in the "What you're most thankful for" section, you may want to use something different here to take advantage of the space.
The first thing people notice about me:

I look my age but when I speak people say I sound pretty mature.
I think this is a unique answer; you may want to be more specific about how you sound more mature.

I think this is a nice addendum. You might want to check little things like the "im" and change it to "I'm". But personally, even if you don't think the photos are clear, you may want to let the photos speak for themselves. Or, get better photos that do reveal your body type.

I like this, and the humor is fun. I think it's a little long, and you might find a way to trim the wording. I like that you wrote sentences rather than a list; it makes it more engaging.

The last book I read and enjoyed:

Anna Karenina. I enjoyed the way Leo Tolstoy conveyed upper class Russian life to be part ordinary and slice of life and part romantic. It really opened my eyes up to a more exciting view of my daily life. I think this is nice.

My friends describe me as:

Thank you so much for your thorough and balanced critique . I like a few of your comments and will implement them like some descriptions needing a trim. I tried to use as much space up as possible so that my match can know as much as possible. But I guess that approach didn't get me the intended result of more interesting info to take in b/c I went on about one thing too much?
