that at the end of the process during the free communication I can suddenly not respond to the final email. I let my subscription lapse and am leaning toward not re-upping it.

So now I understand why I have about a dozen matches who made it to the final stage during these FCW things, but I am still waiting on a response from them. They can't respond because they aren't paying members, and they can't tell me they can't respond.

You just sorta get trapped into this. There's no warning until you get there. Based on the proportions in my inbox, it looks like the percentage is 12 nonpaying matches to 3 paying.

fwiw.

I would just like to register my opinion with yon powers that be that it is a really bad idea not letting the matches freely communicate during a supposedly free communication event and not letting the non payer know that they won't be able to complete the process.

There are now two types of FCW's

Free communication weekends (OC included)
&
Free Guided Communication weekends/events
(GC only-have to subscribe for OC)

Nightling, how is eH supposed to make any money that way? Enough newbies will get to the end and pay up, that's why they keep having these FCW's.

That's it! Unfortunately it's all about the money, they do it to get people to sign up and don't seem to care how it affects the members that are already paying!
