It's kind of late, but I'm going to say that the narrative parts are pretty thin and should be expanded. Also if a questions asks for 5 things, find 5 (i.e, Things I Can't Live Without).

Some advice....

Try to complete the statements.

What are 5 things you cant live without...which means 5 things.

You need to elaborate more on your answers without getting to cliched.

you also dont want to repeat yourself over multiple questions.

Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and why?
Two friends from work who have done quite a bit over the last three years to improve the way I look at life. This can read like a red flag - what was wrong with you? Were you depressed, are you the perpetual pessimist? Put a more positive spin on this.
What is the most important quality that you are looking for in another person?
A woman who does not go by first impressions but is willing to invest the time to discover a person. This pretty much says that you have zero confidence in yourself and that she'll have to dig hard to find something good about you. Think about it - you don't want to date a project yourself so don't present yourself as one.
Other than your appearance, what is the first thing that people notice about you?
My intellect I hope.
What is the ONE thing that people DON'T notice about you right away that you WISH they WOULD?
That even though my social skills are not the best world I am actually a very good, and maybe even fun, person to be around if you get to know me. Again more negative self put down type information. Your profile needs to highlight what's good about you. Your friends like you for a reason and enjoy your company for a reason. Same reason your date would like you too.
What are five things that you "can't live without?"
Friendship
Ability to support myself List the 5 things.
Describe the last book that you read and enjoyed. What was it about? What did you like most about it?
The Original Series Star Trek comics published by DC Comics. I enjoyed very much the way DC handled the characters and let them grow in between the films.
Is there any additional information you would like your matches to know about you?
My hobbies are Human history, Model Rocketry, Video Editing, and exploring New Orleans. My interest in history is not just the historical but also involves the other scientific disciplines that explore this area (paleontology, anthropology, etc.)
What are you most passionate about?
The American space program, and exploring the culture of New Orleans. Stick with space program and tell more about it. What interests you about it, why, how did it become your passion?
What are the THREE things for which you are MOST thankful?
Having a stable position with a stable company.
Having a stable extended family that is always there.
Having a friend I can depend on.
The four things your friends say about you are:
Respectful
Rational
Hard Working
Intelligent
What are three of my best life skills?
Maintaining an organized life
Managing my finances
How do you typically spend your leisure time?
Relaxing, reading, listening to music, exploring the City of New Orleans and areas surrounding the city. Would be really important to add here that you spend time with friends as well.
My comments above. I'm only commenting on how your profile reads to a stranger who does not know you, I'm not commenting on you as a person.

Overall, one thing that is really important is believing in yourself and having some confidence. Your profile should highlight what's good and interesting about you. You are basically trying to catch someone's attention long enough for them to want to learn more about you. Think of it in the sense of, if your friends were trying to set you up, what would they tell her about you?

There are plenty of women who are into the same stuff as he is or would not bat an eye at that. I would hope that he wants to find a partner who is on the same page as opposed to one who would look down on his hobbies. Hiding what you like and what interests you just because some people may not like it is absurd.

OK, I'll go change my eH Dating profile to 'likes comic books' and see if that works.
