Is this where we all gather to do - "What? No date? No Response? Not match?
Then slip into a cheerleader mode and follow up with a rousing: "Atta boy" "Get back on the horse" "You go, Girl"

I noticed on fellow Board Member has 13,000 comments...another 5000 comments
Which makes me think - ew! are we wasting time whining and opining?

How many minutes a day do you spend - looking, cultivating, writing emails of introduction...
how many mins at the water cooler here?

Many of the regular users of eHarmony advice have been using the boards for extended periods of time (some years) - many are in relationships and this is entertainment, some are exploring or re-exploring dating and find a sounding board useful, many enjoy human nature and giving advice, and much of the discussion that really racks up posts takes place off the main boards and in groups that are not particularly dating related.

My impression is that very few of the people who regularly use this site prioritize dating to the point of forsaking entertainment nor do they seem to view finding someone to date a process that requires the level of dedication one would have to, say, sending out applications as unemployment is running out. (This: "How many minutes a day do you spend - looking, cultivating, writing emails of introduction..." sounds like it's taken from yahoo jobs advice). Your judgment is foundationless, all things considered, and rather harsh.

How many minutes a day do you spend watching tv, surfing the net, daydreaming, reading pointless articles online, etc? These boards are entertaining with some good advice thrown in here and there and that's about it. People spend their leisure time in various ways and posting on the boards does not mean a lack of variety or a lack of life.

I'd rather love someone I can't have than have someone I can't love.

Some threads are used more or less as a way to chat with other members and are used frequently just to give them something to do while they wait for Mr./Ms. right.
