Can't find any recent topics on this, so...


Back on eH after 2 yrs and trying to get used to the new software.


Got a photo nudge tonight (had no idea my photos were private! Corrected that!). However, the person that sent me the photo nudge did not appear on the list of people who have viewed my profile? There are also no "anonymous" views.

Why is that? He would have to view my profile to send a photo nudge, right?

Confused...

There are no longer anon views. They took it away about a month ago.

I recently had a similar problem. I am in step 4 with a match who has never viewed my page according to the "who's viewed me" tab, although he has written to me about specific things I wrote and pics on my profile.

Tech Support told me the first view is a free view that will not be counted - which makes no sense to me, kinda counterproductive!!!

Interesting change to the Who's Viewed Me feature.

I THINK it used to be that if someone viewed you each day, their name appeared each day... but only once for the entire day.

Now, it's clearly once for the entire two-week period covered by this feature.

(I noticed, because one of the guys I'm communicating with viewed me yesterday. Today, that yesterday-view has disappeared, but it's replaced by a today-view.)

I suspect this may have been done in order to respond to anxiety expressed on these boards about being seen to be a stalker, constantly looking at someone. (Even if you're only re-reading what you wrote to them in order to use it for someone else!)

Anyway, I have no strong feelings one way or the other, but I bet others do!

As I recall, communication is not counted as a view, and maybe if a photo nudge is considered communication that would explain it.

Nope..

either ScottK or Gr8guy will explain it better than I can, so hopefull one of them will jump in..

I believe it only counts as a view when you click on their profile.

While in communication, if you click on the answers to get into the profile it doesn't count as a view.

Scottk or Gr8??

Wow.. so none of us are anonymous??

I only set it that way for myself because I tend to go back and view people multiple times to remember which one they are and didn't want to look stalkerish myself. (as mentioned earlier...)

I am glad the feature exists simply because I at least can tell who the dead matches probably are.

What do you mean about the something to talk about section? How can you tell? If it's empty?

I still have the "option" to be anonymous in my settings.. my account is old so I guess that is why.
