I make video games for a living, and two of my matches have had comments in their profiles about how much they hate video games. The funny part is that I bet the matching algorithms find the words "video games" in both profiles and decide we are a match.

I'll bet you're right, Nate - in the same way I think they matched words like "church" and "God" in mine with a bunch of fundamentalists who won't date a woman pastor because they don't believe women ought to preach! I got closed out by a bunch of those.

Sorry to hear, it's tough when the 1950s are still out there (my sister is a minister and gets some of that attitude).

For me, heck, the world's full of people I wouldn't match with no matter what. Just looking for some of the ones I will match with.

O.K. I have a funny experience! Well, two really. Let's see if E-Harmony lets this slide thru. Last year I was matched with a man wearing a dress in his photo and listing shopping, gardening, and getting his nails done as interests. I called E-Harmony and they removed him from the site. Guess what? A month later I am matched with him again, this time wearing a different dress! I got a free month....and a lot of laughs. You just can't take this too seriously! My only question was "why did I get matched twice with a transvestite?

I am going to sound like an idiot here but....

My first list of matches I got when I signed up included one without a picture and a guys name that in NO way I could convince myself was a women's name. Her profile listed fantastic interests like sports and beer. Not knowing then what I knew now I SWORE they had just matched me up with a guy in some freak of the matching algorithms and closed it right away with a sick look on my face.

I'm sure she's a very lady with a strange name and some tom-boyish tendancies.

I changed my setting to 300 miles away to see if it would increase matches. I just receive a match from a guy who lives in Ohio and I live in Florida. In his profile he stated would like to live in a warm climate in winter. . He also said he had been waiting for his princess to fall from the sky. A match make in heaven!

You go, girl!

(But, um, who really expects a "princess to fall from the sky"?!)

I had one match that I was thinking how well EH had done. We gotten trought the guided communication and into open communication and I felt rather excited.

Until she asked me if I liked women with a little extra. I responded weight was not an issue for me ans she responded that was not what she meant as "extra"

It seems she was a he! A crossdresser!

My theapist is making a forture now.
