anyone else thinking astrology one of the 29 dimensions?

i just think it very odd that the majority of my matches are the same astrological sun sign as i am -- this happens too often to be coincidental, and i'm curious if anyone else has noticed the same with their matches?

as far as astrology goes, i'm no expert on the subject, but what little i have read or heard seemed to go along the lines of having higher compatibility with an "opposites attract" mentality - aries and libra, pisces and virgo, etc.

can anyone fill me in on anything to do with it?

I really don't think Astrology has anything to do with the 29 dimensions. But, I haven't asked what all of my matches birthdays are.

Actually, I have noticed this, too. (Not that I actually believe in astrology ....) I'm a Cancer, and the first match I got, who I got to OC with but never met---was a Cancer.

The only eHarmony match I ever actually dated for a while was a Cancer.

And I've noticed that when my age changed in the system (around my birthday) a number of my non-communicating matches' ages changes within a few weeks before and after ....

I read a list of the 29 Dimensions once, and Astrology was not one of them ... I'm assuming this is just a confirmation bias type thing, where you notice your own sign more than you notice others ... I obviously never tried to scientificially studied all 900+ matches I've ever gotten to check it if there is a disproportionate number.

I've also heard that there are more babies born in July, August, and September than other months, in the U.S., so maybe that's a factor?

you don't have to - it'll tell you their sign off to the right in that column of things you have in common, if you have it in common. and if i had to put a number on it, i'd say 80% of mine share my sun sign. it's kind of annoying, because i don't really seem to get along as much with men in my sun sign, in general.

whew, good to know (re the 29 dimensions), and fwiw, my sign doesn't include birthdays in those months. i still don't know what to think about so many of these zodiac matches. :/

Not everyone has filled in that area where the astrology sign is. I've even run into guys who really look down their noses at anyone who even thinks of looking at the horoscopes in the newspaper.

As a whole I will say that I notice most of my long term guys have had similar birthdays. Almost all were born in one of two months. Not all had the same sign, even when born in the same month, however. I kinda find it funny when I speak to a guy at a bar or playing Blackjack and he tells me his birthday is within a week of the last guy I dated. I think I'm just attracted to certain guys and those certain guys just happen to all be born in the same month!
