Does a match need to actually view my profile to appear in my Who's Viewed Me list, or would it be enough if they just went to the Mailbox tab (e.g. to view or reply to an email)?

I don't know for sure - I think if they click the email link to communicate, it doesn't count as a view. But if they click your name while on the website, it does.

I don't believe you can get to the Communicate or Mail Box button without going into the profile. If you get a communication from a match, they obviously went into your profile.

You can go to the mailbox without going to the profile, by going to your Communicating tab and clicking the orange Send eHarmony Mail button. Or by clicking X sent you a communication on the Match Updates tab.

I personally believe that an active viewing was involved. Those who view repeatedly but don't answer over weeks are my closing candidates.

If you go to someones profile and don't send a message then you will show up in their Who's Viewed Me.

I cannot say for sure if you go to the mailbox without going through the profile keeps you from showing up in the Who's Viewed Me or not but I don't think so.

Remember under the who viewed you list...counts those who are wiling to say who they are and those who block who they are from appearing.

I am not sure if just by communicating counts as a view. I also think they count unique profile views ...not someone who has viewed your profile everyday this it appears as a 1 instead of a 7 count.

You can see these anonomous views because it shows up when you look at your new matches...its categorized differently.
