Hi everyone, I need a little help.

I sent first questions to a match, and also requested a photo. I nudged him July 15. I looked at his profile today, it still says something about giving your match plenty of time to respond. My question is-
Isn't a nudge option supposed to appear after 7 days? Today is 2 weeks.

Not understanding, thanks for any advice.

I'm not sure you can renudge so quickly. You might want to check with Customer Care on that one, however. Maybe Rene or Kate can better answer your question on this one.

The Nudge option will be given after 1 week of Inactivity.
Also, you can ONLY do 1 Nudge per Stage.

You mentioned you did a Nudge on July 15.

If you and your Match have not moved to the next Stage, then you do not have any more Nudges available to you for this Match.

The best you can do at this point is the "fake" Nudge, which is the IceBreakers.

I have, in the past, requested allowing a secondary Nudge to be allowed, say after a month.

The reason for my request, was specifically because of Matches that aren't currently paying members.

If someone isn't a paying member, then the 1 Nudge doesn't help at all. They can't respond, because they aren't a paying member.

However, perhaps a couple months down the road, maybe that Match becomes a member again...
I would like a way to let that Match know that I am still around, and still would like to communicate with them.

Thanks for the advice, I'll wait a bit longer then try the Ice breaker thing. I'll keep him in archive for now and focus on others.

Looking at his profile page puts it on the "who's looked at me" tab for him, which at least tells him you're alive. That might be all you can do right now. Since it's a free communication week, that might get him to look at you and respond, if he's active on eH this week.

There is a way to let a match know that you are still around and interested for this scenario. You just keep regularly viewing them and you will keep showing up at the top of their Who's Viewed Me.

What does that do?

I'm curious because I had a bunch of closed matches in my archive file, and I re-opened them, archived them, then closed them again (geez who created this nightmare process? Certainly not a linear thinker!)

Did my closed matches get notified that I re-opened them, and viewed them again, like some kind of love-starved stalker?

You sent the questions, you nudged. The guy doesn't have a photo up. You have had no indication that the person is even a member and if he is a member you have given him plenty of evidence that you are interested. I would say you have other matches why so interested in this one? Time to look elsewhere
