When you sent a wink and receive an icebreaker that says,"Your profile brought a smile to my face" is that a polite, "Thanks, but not really interested" response? What about this one,"Your profile brought a smile to my face..Let's chat"? Does that mean proceed to questions, email me, or let's talk on the phone? I'm pretty confused with what message I'm receiving Help!! here! LOL

I think if you send a wink or icebreaker and get any kind of response other than a clear "no -- not interested" then it means "I am not averse to hearing from you".

Are you talking about Match? I didn't think EH has "winks". On EH, I'd send the first-questions.

None of the Ice Breakers on eH seem to indicate a negative response. If they weren't I would hope they would just close. No point in being left in limbo while everyone wonders what's up.

Send you first questions. If they close you, you have your answer. If they don't respond, remember that they could be a non paying member.
