I signed up last night hoping that I wouldn't get the same choices as the last time I was a member. I woke up this morning to two matches. One had no picture and the other was not only impossibly obese but lived 30 miles away.

Note that I live in a metropolitan area of two million people... this is it? I'm hoping there are more matches and they just choose not to spring them on me all at once... $240.00 needs to bring me more choices than this. I have Eric Clapton tickets for June 28th... it would be nice to have a date.

I do check the ring finger of women I run into at the store and work. I'm also becoming more active golfing and roller blading... What else can a guy do short of kidnapping?

Include in your search women who are similar in age as yourself. Most women set their age preferences to within 3-5 years of their own age.

If your preference is set outside of this range, you will not get them as matches.

I received two more matches... both obese... Score:

Obese women 3 - Women with no pictures 1 - Dateable women 0.

My age settings are set 4 years younger, 3 years older.

Hi.

If you aren't interested in dating these women because of their weight, that's fine.

But I think posting a "score card" like this and referencing them as undateable is rather crude and inappropriate.

Five stars for TP. Please this "score card" is offensive.

Come on! A scorecard? What is this high-school? *shakes head*

I'm trying to find some trace of humour here ... and not succeeding.

To DennisWisconsin, you have been on the boards for a long time and you have been an eHarmony subscriber off and on for a long time without much success, I can't understand why you would have thought that things would have changed significantly this time around.

To the rest of you who think that think that it is in bad taste for DennisWisconsin to have a thread where he is complaining of the lack of matches and that the few he gets are inappropriate. There are plenty of other threads dealing with the lack of matches, photoless matches, and weight. I am quite sure that if I was motivated to search a bit I would find that each of you have complained of these very issues. He is not "scoring" his matches only the eHarmony process. Get off your high horse, he who lives in a glass house should not stow thrones.

It's not that that's obtuse. It's the implication, however humourous the intent might have been, that the only dateable women are those who aren't obese or have pictures.

There are plenty of women who are thin and have lots of pics who are nowhere near dateable too!

The OP is quite clearly referring to his personal tastes - something he is entitled to have and express even if they are not PC. You, on the hand, are trying to extrapolate his personal tastes to the entire world population - a bit of a stretch don't you think?
