I just changed my distance setting, again. I have the "select by state" option in use. I removed all states except Oregon. I then hit my Find New Matches button. Guess what I got? ALL California matches.

Not a single one says Flexible, so I have to wonder, did I do something wrong? I went back and checked. Only Oregon is checked.

So, what's up with that? I am going to send Customer Care an e-mail. But, what concerns me is that it's obvious the settings I had in place made no difference.

Apparently eHarmony has also bought into the latest Katie Perry song. Once you meet the California people, it's hard to go back. :-)

Andie - I think it may take a cycle for the changes to go into effect (in any event, in my past experience the changes did not seem to be implemented instantaneously). So, you might want to wait and see who is in your next batch of matches.

I agree that the changes don't always go into effect immediately. But, this was where I had Cali, Washington and Oregon selected, then just removed Cali and Wash. So, it truly was frustrating to see only Cali on my list.

I e-mailed customer care and they stated that because I didn't have it set at the highest level this could be the reason. (I had it at 6, not 7). Ummm, not buying that one, but OK, I'll go along with it for now.

Totally understandable! But, it doesn't matter if you make a "little" change or a major one, you may still need to wait until the next cycle of matching takes place.

Hopefully tomorrow you'll get a different result!
