Just wondering how everyone fared during the Memorial Day Weekend FCW 2010.

I got absolutely NO requests to communicate. I think I sent out one or two. Only one guy that is in OC sent me a communication on Saturday, but nothing since. Basically, it was a bust for me.

Not one match closed me. So, maybe everyone here on the West Coast were out having fun while I was stuck on my computer and tending my plants.

So, tell us about your FCW experience.

We will see. I have gotten to the email phase with two of them and lo and behold the first thing they brought up was pics (surprise surprise).

I sent pics to one of them and I will have to see if she responds back today. I'll email the other one with some pics later on today.

Every FCW seems to be the same. You will have a few who respond very quickly and at times with pretty good answers. But in the end they always seem to be more interested in just picture swapping then actually talking or getting to know someone.

It was nice to to have the opportunity to see if those weird people who took months responding to me from when I was a member months ago actually wanted something. Apparently not, as they all ignored me over the FCM.

Communicated with 3, email exchange with 2-not sure about the 3rd. It went okay. Just wondering why do the younger guys communicate instead of the ones my age?

Communication with 3 I had initiated with this weekend. As of yesterday got 1 to Stage 2, 1 to Stage 3 (Her turn to answer my questions, so a typically drop-off point) and 1 to a couple OC in-system emails before switching to our own emails before her FCW time expired.

And 17 nudged with zero responses from previous initiations. Of all the others sitting in my new or archive tabs no one initiated with me.

All told, more successful than other FCW's.

You belong to a group called Mature and Hot. Might have something to do with it lol.

FCW for me was a whole lot of nowhere. I went back and forth with one girl and then she flaked out. The race is on till the end of the month when my subscription ends!

Wasn't expecting much and wasn't disappointed with the results either, it gave me the opportunity to close lots of dead matches today. Clean house of sorts.
Still, it would be nice if EH would credit these "Free" days to "paid" members...why pay for something that is offered for free to others during this time FCW, especially since we know nothing will come from it.

I didn't even know there was such a thing as FCW (I just started with eH last month). I was just surprised that a couple of matches contacted me and responded very quickly, and then put the email address into the response. Now I know why. With one match I got to stage 3, then she asked for pictures. Now that I know how the whole thing works, I think it's rather useless. People apparently just contact you blindly. What are the chances they will still be interested after seeing the pictures? It's just a waste of time. If I get a request or response from somebody who has already seen my pictures, at least then there is some initial attraction, and it may be worthwhile to explore it.

I wonder: Did anybody ever get anywhere with a non-member match?

Back in January when they had the new year's day FCM I had (what seemed to be) a decent match communicate with me some, she even said my picture was cute (should have tipped me off right there that something was wrong)

The strongest communication I got from her was that I should buy her some things from her amazon.com wish list. Strangely enough she basically ignored me after I declined.
