quick question -- If I'm a non-paying member (just signed up, testing the waters a bit), can I see if I have questions from a match? I realize I can't respond, but will I even realize that the questions are there without subscribing/paying? I would hate to be ignoring messages that I didn't realize were there, yet at the same time I'm kinda thinking I may hold out for a free weekend (hoping for Memorial Day weekend) before I take the next (paying) step.

You should receive an e-mail telling you you received a communication from your matches, even when you are a non paying member. Unless you have that kind of notification turned off. You may need to log in to see if anyone has tried contacting you if you did turn off that notification.

I know my method is not a popular one, which I totally understand, but I'm going to take it slow.

Hi Ozarka!

I did the same thing ... signed up for a little while before paying for a subscription.

Take some time to read threads here on the boards, especially this forum "Using EHarmony". There are a lot of good tips on how to make EH work better for you.
