For the great eH minds of the almighty forum, I beseech thee!
Why would someone close you out, but a few hours later come back and also send you an Icebreaker of "I'd love to chat"? Does that mean I should accept the close? Not like I'm given any other options anyways.

Only thing I can think is they are a nonpaying member (thus the icebreaker) and don't want me to keep hopes up waiting on them. Why send the icebreaker at all in that case? Sooo confusing sometimes.

They accidentaly closed you thinking it would just close the page? Now they hope you can reopen it?
I dunno.

I'm surprised that it's even possible to send an icebreaker to someone after you've closed them.

Is it possible they sent the icebreaker first?

Maybe they intended to close someone else and got confused, or maybe it's the clumsy new interface.

Both good ideas, except remember the one that does the closing is the one that has to do the Re-Opening...and also to actually close someone out takes effort. Most people just Archive you, and if you accidently do anything it's archive, not close.

I might send the ice breaker sender your first questions, just to see where it goes. No harm, right?

Well eHarmony took away the ability to re-open in the Great Downgrade.

Once they have closed you, you can't do anything other than close them.

But if she sent an Ice Breaker they aren't closed. Maybe this is another new bug in the eH system.
