To try to get new matches, I check my preferences all the time. I do know that if I relax my distance importance setting just one notch, well this is what I got several days ago: TN, GA, IL, another TN, another GA, IN. I'm in CT! The next day MD and OH. That's when I moved my distance importance setting again up a notch, which meant getting virtually no new matches.

And this is why I tried to be active as stated in the previous thread I started.

eH cannot make people who match your 29 dimensions magically sign up who live within your distance settings.

If you are only getting far distance matches you might want to consider a few other setting changes. Age, smoking, drinking, etc. Also, one thing I learned early on was to put the height importance at the lowest setting. It helped my matching a lot.

If you are really concerned about the distance issue, you might contact customer care. I've heard of a few people being in a zip code that the eH system doesn't recognize and they don't receive matches in their immediate area.

I have personally known of this happening. It is rare but does happen.
