Here's my list...

1. Keep me logged in! I'm a big boy using my very own computer. Give me the option to stay logged in forever similar to Netflix. Having to log back in every time I visit is annoying.

2. Advanced Search is desperately needed as described in this thread...

http://advice.eharmony.com/boards/da...bout-time.html

3. Properly redirect back to previous URL as described in this thread...

http://advice.eharmony.com/boards/da...ance-sigh.html

4. Need both a closed AND archive button on all matches. There are some matches who are instant Closes where no amount of contemplation will change my mind. Forcing me to clutter up my Archived section and doing DOUBLE the amount of work will never change that.

5. REMOVE all banner advertising for paying members. Seriously, as a paying member, this is offensive to me and it slows down every single page of the site.

6. Remember show/hide setting for GIGANTIC "join eHarmony" banner above the match list. This is ridiculous. I am already a paying member... why can't I hide this permanently? Or better yet, don't show a "join eHarmony" advertisement to members who already joined. Geesh!

7. Fix the BUG where you show the Date/Time of my Nudge in place of the Date/Time of my last Open Communication.

http://advice.eharmony.com/boards/da...off-weeks.html

8. Two Words- Thumbnail Photos!

http://advice.eharmony.com/boards/da...ue-photos.html

9. Fix the BUG which blocks me from seeing my first message in Open Communication until the match responds. Seriously, if I get closed out, I'd like to review what I sent!

10. Do a much better job moderating & approving each match's photos. Every photo submitted already needs to be approved by a real person at eH. So why do we still see so many photos where the face is obscured or the photo is so tiny you can barely see the person? Or we see group shots where it's impossible to tell who is who. (A restricted min/max size {in pixels} upon photo upload would be very easy for any webmaster to implement.)

11. Fix "last communication: m/d/yy" BUG. Why do I see a "last communication:" date when NO communication whatsoever has yet taken place. Simply getting matched by eH is NOT the same as communication with the match! The "last communication:" date would be a very valuable bit of information if it only meant what it said, and gave me the date that my match or I actually sent a communication!

12. Email Notifications need to be more timely. You send me notification of "new matches" hours after I've already viewed them!

3. Properly redirect back to previous URL as described in this thread...

http://advice.eharmony.com/boards/da...ance-sigh.html (Yet another little easy-to-fix annoyance. Sigh.)

Re-posting same below....

Occasionally when you go to a match's profile, it's been deleted or taken down for whatever reason. You'll see a large white box fill the screen with a little message in the middle...
"We're sorry. This match's profile is no longer available... {Close this match} green button."
Ok that's fine so far.

The annoying problem is that after you click the button, you're dumped into your "Closed Matches" screen.

Um, why?

I was working in the Communicating or Archived section and good web design would dictate I be taken back where I left off, not dumped into a new location.

As an active member, this is not huge deal since I only come across these once in a while.

However, when I recently re-joined, I had to clear out hundreds of old matches. There were dozens of these "Missing Profiles" and each time I clicked the button, I was dumped into the Closed Section forcing me to do the extra steps of clicking back to find the spot where I left off.

This isn't Rocket Science.

Webdesign 101...
1. When "missing profile" page loads, save referring URL.
2. When user clicks button, auto-redirect user back to previously saved URL.

2. Advanced Search is desperately needed as described in this thread...

http://advice.eharmony.com/boards/da...bout-time.html (Advanced Search- after a decade, isn't it about time?)

Re-posting same below....

So as I've described in other threads, I have about 100 matches in the Communication Tab. No, I'm not doing anything wrong... eHarmony suggests to give everyone plenty of time to respond, so I do. I get 6 to 10 matches per day and I close out a few immediately but you can imagine 100 will pile up in only a few weeks.

Meanwhile, I've griped about trudging through these 100 matches and how it takes me about 2 hours. I need to find the ones that need nudging, the ones without photos, the ones I've decided not to wait any longer, etc. Sometimes while clicking down the list of 40 matches/page, it's impossible to know where I left off especially if I closed out the last one. "wait, did I just look at Sue or was she next in line?" Then darn, I clicked into Sue again! Only 99 profiles to go... I give up and more just pile on top.

In another thread I suggested a visual aid of thumbnail photos in the match list which would help me see where I left off or help me recognize profiles easier.

Let's face it, the sort function is helpful when you want to find your oldest matches, or find the ones you're communicating with... but sort is USELESS when you want to find other things...

How about this...

Advanced Search?

The existing eHarmony search is just too limited! You have to know the person's name or town... this grossly assumes you are searching for somebody you already know.

I'm not reinventing the wheel here... eHarmony NEEDS an ADVANCED search function.

EXAMPLES:

- Search and display only a list of profiles lacking a photo.
- Search and display only a list of profiles where a nudge is available.
- Search and display only a list of profiles where they have no children at home.
- Search and display only a list of profiles where you can send an icebreaker.
- Search and display only a list of profiles in a certain Communication Stage.
- Search and display only a list of profiles that are Flexible Matches.
- Search for a blurb of text you thought you read in a profile.
- Age ranges, match date ranges, time elapsed since last communication, distance ranges, etc.
- Search ANY combination of the criteria above and more.

Based on eHarmony's nearly decade long lack of Advanced Search, you'd think this is rocket surgery ...

EVERY single computer database on the planet has very complex search abilities built in. It's only up to the programmers & webmasters to utilize it and provide an interface.

Online Auctions
Online Social Networks
Online Classifieds
Online Discussion Forums
Online Search Engines

... these are only some of the types of sites that use databases and their mysterious "search technology".

Can you imagine the opposite? What if Google replaced it's search function with eHarmony's? You'd only be able to find websites where you already knew the URL.

Please! When I close a match without initiating communication, that means that this match has fallen into my no way category. There's nothing this match is going to be able to do while sitting in purgatory to change my mind. I don't want to have to look at a profile, archive, confirm I want to archive, go into the archive tab, look at the profile again, click close and confirm that I want to close that match to actually close it.

Agree on this one too. If it wasn't for this "feature" I would never visit the closed matches tab. There's absolutely no reason for this setup the way it is except for lazy programming.

Adding one of my own:

I still have four matches that sit in my archived/purgatory tab that say they are closed. It isn't the close button, it says in plain text that they're closed. I cannot do anything with these matches. If I look at one of these matches, all is says is something like "match is closed" and there are no actionable links other than return to my matches. I've been told by Customer Care that this is a bug and pretty much just be patient.

I just added the following to my original posting...
5. REMOVE all banner advertising for paying members. Seriously, as a paying member, this is offensive to me and it slows down every single page of the site.

As per the title of the thread, I took it that Singles Product meant eH Dating.
