Please stop matching me with people who are outside of my set criteria!!!!

Like all the guys who are 5'6" and shorter! (I am 5'9" and anyone under 5'8"ish is too short!)

Like all the guys who are 42, 43, and even 44 years old!!! (I'm 29 and have my age limits set to 41).

Like all the guys who work retail, or some other job where they clearly make less than half of what I do! (I do well and said that its important that a match is in the same income range).

Like all the guys with kids! (I dont have kids and dont want to date someone who does).

Like the guys who are not really single! (okay, I know you cant really control that one, but I found out after 3 dates that the last eH person I met was not even close to being single).

And last but not least, PLEASE stop matching with the guys who are all of the above: 5'5", 44 years old, two kids, making 30k a year and has a girlfriend on the side.

At this rate I might as well pay half as much and get on the other big dating site.

Hi Annnnnnnnnnnnnnne! Are you sure you have your preference settings the way you want them? And set to the importance level that is right for you?

If you do, try calling customer care. There may be something wrong with your account. I don't think that what you're describing should be happening.

Yep!

Just went in and checked and the height, age and income were set as important. Also had it set to no kids.

hahaha be careful, gal. I posted a similar issue titled "eHarmony spam" and was called stereotyping. just glad to see that i am not the only one who has disagreement with the current eH feature. Go check my post. It may help you to find who is answering your email, why they hold their view against us. the interesting part is that they all started saying that neither you nor me know how to set up compatible questions on eH and have no idea about online dating.

She is not the only victim. It happens to my account, too. And, eH customer care is not answering the question.

Let me know if they happen to match you with gods gift to womankind, because I'll obviously have to change my settings to get matched with gods gift to man.

In all seriousness though, I do see your point. A lot of the "matches" I get are... well, not really what I said I was looking for. I don't have much hope for this "online" process, but I can at least tell myself I've been trying everything.

While I didn't have a problem with guys out of my age range or who weren't single, I did run into a problem with the "radius" part of the matches e-harmony was sending me. I set it to "50 miles" away or less. I started getting matches from over 300 miles away, and this really annoyed me. I like to make new friends, but a long distance relationship can be stressful. I did double check my settings and still got guys living hundreds of miles away. What is up with that?
