Is anyone telling the eHarmony gods that they need to fix this?

The word is out, eHarmony. We are sick and tired of non-responders. You have great tv ads but a really bad online communication system.

Please, please, please tell us which profiles are active and/or when was the last time the person was online.

If I could write to the eHarmony administrators directly, I would. Is anyone telling them that they need to fix this?

I have my own views on why they haven't done this, but, I'll keep them to myself.

You know eH cannot make your matches communicate with you.

Keep trying. it can take quite a while, sometimes.

This is true.

However he/she just wants to see which profiles are active/paying and when the person was last online.

Not something eH will likely ever do since it's probably contrary to their business model.

Last update might happen (actually that is already on the main page), but they consider the last login an item that falls under their Privacy Policy.

Andie, I know I'm not going to get responses to all my communications, but I have read that as many as 93% of profiles are actually inactive. This is good for the business because they can claim a larger number of profiles that way, but bad for the paying customers.

Whenever a paying subscriber communicates with a lapsed subscriber, eHarmony hopes they will sign on again in order to hopefully make a match.

Thank you for this, John! I will certainly be writing to them.

I know this topic has been discussed in previous threads, but I haven't seen any indication that the decision-makers know how annoying it is.

How about just color-coding which profiles are paying customers and which ones aren't?

People have been complaining about this forever.

It is not going to change. It is part of the eHarmony business model. It is also part of the business model for the other pay dating sites.

And you do not need to tell me that Match and others tell you when someone was last on the site. My Match profile says that I was last on the site within the past 24 hours. It says this everyday. I have not been a paying member on Match in nearly 2 years.

Just send First Questions to every match or at least every match that you have any interest in. If they respond great, if not just let them sit for a long time. It costs you nothing to just let them sit.

Or you could just get off eHarmony and go hang out in bars trying to pick up people.
