I don't know if anyone else has experienced this. I signed up for a 6 month option and, to be honest, I've had more success with Plenty of Fish! I find eharmony very constricted, the questions very unnatural and forced and about 75% of the matches I'm given do not even have a photo. Nothing ever happens with the matches you're given. Sometimes I don't log in for a week and there's a stack of matches that just sit there; they don't get closed, there are no questions...nothing. I cancelled my membership and am just waiting it out but I have gone on tons of dates with plenty of fish. Still haven't met my match, but I'm getting out there. I have gone on zero dates on eharmony. The profiles are scripted (I'd rather write my own completely) and people just write down what you want to hear anyway as the questions don't really explain you fully. I don't really care what book you've read, who's influenced your life and what feature you wish people would notice about you (what's with that anyway??). I don't recommend eharmony at all to anyone...just sign up free with plenty of fish.

That other site sounds fishy, lol. Seriously, free sites generally tend to have the creepers and weirdos and people looking for "more than one girlfriend". Also, it's well known that the free places are much more like MySpace when it comes to the hookup culture. If that's what you like, then perhaps EHarmony was the wrong place for you in the first place.

I've tried plenty of fish and I think it's shocking. Awful place. Not one person I spoke to seemed to take anything remotely seriously. Maybe I was unlucky but my experience seems to say that because it's free nothing has been invested. People can be half hearted in the first place and less interested in actualy trying to find someone and not just have a laugh.
