This is my profile....I think it's fine, but I have had very few matches respond to my contact...and nobody has reached out to contact me first.

Am I missing something?

The one thing Trent is most passionate about: I am passionate about my faith in God...I do not attend any church on a regular basis, but I love to read and study the bible. My faith is not about getting blessed by God, or having all my prayers answered..it is about getting to know God, and seeing my life and my world through His eyes. Fantasy Football...I have 6 championship trophies in the last 11 years. Children...their view of themselves and the world around them are formed at a young age. I believe that we are respomsible for the memories they will have. I am passionate about music, poetry, and art (any form of artistic expression) Autumn, Nature, and Truth.

The most important thing Trent is looking for in a person is: Honesty,...I truly believe that if two people are completely honest and open with each other, they can work together to overcome any obstacle the world may throw at them....even their own doubts.

Basic Information

Occupation:Postal Service Age:47Height:6' 1"Wants Kids:MaybeKids at Home:No
Ethnicity:White, non-HispanicReligion:Spiritual, but not religious Drinks:Several times a weekSmokes:Many times a day

In my own words

The most influential person in Trent's life has been:

My younger brother (and best friend) taught me what it means to have faith in my spirit when my eyes tell me things are hopeless. He has shown me by example what it means to pursue a dream, and overcome the obstacles life tries to put in your way. (But I taught him how to make the perfect peanut butter and jelly sandwhich)

The three things which Trent is most thankful for:
  • Being born and raised in a country that values individual freedom. America is truly the greatest country on earth, and even though we aren't perfect I cant imagine living anywhere else.
  • My job...it has been very good to me, and has given me the means to provide not only for myself and my children, but to be generous in helping others in need.
  • My faith was instilled in me from a very young age, and I am grateful that I was raised by two very devout and loving parents. Without them, I may never have discovered the grace of God.
Three of Trent's best life-skills are:
  • Communicating my innermost thoughts and feelings
  • Remaining calm yet resilient during a crisis
  • Helping those who are less fortunate or in need

The one thing Trent wishes MORE people would notice about him is:

I am a deep thinker...and although sometimes I may seem aloof or uncaring, I am actually absorbing all the information...its just that I dont like to speak until I know what I want to say.

The things Trent can't live without are:
  • coffee
  • tobacco
  • faith
  • children
  • my creativity

The first thing people notice about Trent is:

My quiet and gentle demeanor...my grandchildren, neices, and nephews think that I am a "gentle giant"

Some additional information Trent wanted you to know is:

I believe that love is not about the butterflies we experience while dating...real love is our comittment to somebody when the butterflies fade. I have raised four children on my own (one of them was special needs)...and I have learned how to love and forgive within a life of heartache and betrayal...and that makes me "special"...but on the other hand, I am a conservative. I believe that people need to learn to stand on their own, I believe that people need to see the truth for themselves, and I believe that the best government is the government that leaves me and mine alone.

My interests

Trent typically spends his leisure time:

I love to hike through the caves and trails in Hocking Hills, especially in the autumn. It never fails to impress and inspire me. Sometimes I just like to sit and think about things...history, poetry, human nature, or creation. I enjoy cooking, and coming up with new recipe ideas...some turn out pretty good. I like to visit small bars and coffee houses to check out some of the younger talent on open mic night. listen to music and write poetry

The last book Trent read and enjoyed:

The Five Love Languages...it breaks down the five different ways that people experience and express love. And teaches us how to relate to people who may speak a different "language" than we do. I thought it was very interesting and informative...not just for romantic relationships, but also for children, parents, siblings, and even friendships. It was a very eye-opening book for me.

According to my friends:

Trent's friends describe him as:

Spiritual
Easy-Going
Creative
Generous

I'd say as far as picture goes, maybe try to find something with lighter background/more light or something. It looks very dark in addition to your dark shirt and going against your skin..it makes it looks like your head is floating in the air

Maybe do a little color editing to show a warmer hues of the skin and lighten up the background/contrast.

The only thing that hits me right off the bat is this:
You can't live without..tobacco??
Now you know as well as anyone that smoking is an addiction...it is.
It's as much of a drug as alcohol. You can't argue with that.

Now, even though you'll get matched with smokers(I'm assuming, or, someone who doesn't smoke, but doesn't mind if they are matched w/smokers) what you basically said there is "there's no way I'm giving up my addiction."

Then there's the obvious comeback...
yeah you could live without it! (In fact, you'll probably live longer..)
Imagine if someone put this in their profile:
The things Joe can't live without: Alcohol

How many matches do you really think Joe will get?
If I were you, I would remove it.

You put a big emphasis on faith which may be scaring a lot of women away. There are at least 3 references to it. Maybe you can find something else you can't live without because your faith is very obvious without having to make it one of the 5 things you can't live without.

You also have 2 typos that I noticed - sandwhich is spelled sandwich and neice is spelled niece. Women are very particular about spelling.

Finally the first question asks for the one thing you are most passionate about and you list at least 6 things.

Finally, I think that your picture is not the most flattering. I'd lose the hat and include more of your body so your face is not "in my face". A smile goes a long way too.

Hope these help. Good luck.

I agree so far. May I also suggest having a few pictures taken by a professional. It doesn't have to be a huge expense, just enough to get a photo you would be willing to put on a business card or something visible to the public eye. Put your best image forward. If you love nature so much, try to arrange for a photographer to meet you at your favorite hiking spot or thinking place.

The statement "I am passionate about my faith in God...I do not attend church on a regular basis" could seem like a contradiction to some people. I'm not saying it is, but some people might think that. Perhaps simplify it to "I am passionate about getting to know God, and seeing my life and my world through His eyes."

Good luck!
