Today, I went to review a match that is currently at stage 4. Curious as to previous answers I'd given this match, I went to click on the earlier stages and have found that it is no longer possible to review the earlier stages of communication!

Why has this been removed? There doesn't seem to be any logical reason for it. I've now been asked the same questions by a new match and I wanted to compare my answers but it seems this isn't possible.

This is a backward step in my opinion.

As an update, it seems that only some of my matches have this removed. Not sure why.

Has anyone else noticed that you now cannot close a match with any New matches. The new feature is called Archiving (it replaces "Close Match"), which means, according to eH help, that these matches are not permanently closed. Personally, I want to permanently closed some matches, not "archive" them. And what an unusual term. Art and computer files are archived; should women be archived?

Bruce - check out the thread in this forum on the "archive tab"; lots of discussion about that issue there.

Don't know what to say but I still seem to be able to go back to earlier communication with my matches that have gotten to a later stage.

This is the same term that Chemistry uses. It is the same process of not closing a match but just putting the match "on the shelf" that Chemistry uses. Being familiar with both sites eHamony is making a huge mistake in trying to follow the lead of a very poorly designed site.

Exactly!

It just blows me away, they are trying to duplicate the brokenness of Chemistry.com!

There is NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, that Chemistry.com had that EH should be trying to "borrow".

Heck, EHarmony should have been celebrating that they have effectively trounced Match's attempt at copying EH, and they should be embracing the fact that they have a better site.

But somehow, in some board room at EH, someone has convinced the powers-that-be at EH that they need to be more Chemistry.com, and so full steam ahead...

Nevermind this is NOT what the users want!

Bizarre. Just Bizarre.

Can't you just remove the Archive feature from your Settings if you don't like it?

Not really.. changing the settings only stops matches that close you from automatically being moved into your archived folder.

Auto-Archive

Yes, please automatically archive matches that have closed me
No, please do not automatically archive matches that have closed me

Would love to see the board of directors listings. Sounds like someone has an investment in BOTH.
