I was am new here and hoping I can get some advice on my profile. I think it looks ok, but I would like to get a view of how other people view it. I have been a free member of eharmony for awhile, but just recently became a paid member because I am in the time of my life now where I want a serious relationship. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

The one thing Michael is most passionate about: I am most passionate about helping others that are in need of help in anyway that I can and life in general. I love the outdoors, but also like the quiet nights in as well. Family is a big thing to me as well. There is nothing I would not do for anyone in my family.


The most important thing Michael is looking for in a person is: I am looking for someone that is kind, caring and compasionate. Someone that loves family and spending time with family be it watching a movie together of playing games together.

My son and my daughter. They are both great children and have taught me alot about things in life in general and how lucky I am, They are proud of me no matter what I do and always know how to make me smile. My daughter is the most influentual though because of the illness she had which has inspired me and made me realize life is not as bad as it may seem at times.


The three things which Michael is most thankful for:
  • I am thankful for my son and my daughter
  • I am thankful that I am able to put a smile on somebodies face each day by being there to help them
  • I am thankful for life in general and what it has in store for me
Three of Michael's best life-skills are:
  • Being a good friend and companion
  • Achieving personal goals
  • Raising and/or caring for children
The one thing Michael wishes MORE people would notice about him is:

I wear a hearing aid. People do not always notice this and sometimes they think I am ignoring them etc.. when actually I just did not hear them.


The things Michael can't live without are:
  • My Kids
  • My family
  • My Computer
  • My T.V.
The first thing people notice about Michael is:

I would say my personality, I am outgoing and laid back, but also know when to be serious when the time comes.


My interests

Michael typically spends his leisure time:

I spend my time with my kids mostly. My son and I have our own little things we do together as well as my daughter and I.

The last book Michael read and enjoyed:

Honestly I can not recall the last book I have read. I am not really a big reader of books.


According to my friends:

Michael's friends describe him as:
  • Outgoing

The picture is my main picture as of now. I have more posted and I will upload them here as well so that maybe I can get some feedback on those as well. I don't really have alot of pictures of myself so I put up what I could find.

I would suggest focusing on one or two things. You describe very little about what you are passionate about. Expand on those.

together OR playing games, not of.

It seems OK, but I feel it lacks something.

somebodies isn't really a word. You mention "life in general" before. Can you pick something else? Too much repetition in a profiles tells me the writer hasn't taken the time to think about his profile.

I don't this this is a negative. You might want to add a tiny bit of humor at the end to lighten it up a bit. If you can laugh at it, women might be more drawn to your attitude. (my mom is deaf in one ear, so I understand a little)

You have mentioned your kids a few times, not really a bad thing, but I'm sure you can include them in your "family" and pick something else to add. Also, you only have 4 things, find that 5th item. You can also add a tiny bit after each item. I have as one item "chocolate - with nuts preferred" and another is "sushi - add wasabi and ginger... heaven!"

OK, I am sure you do more than just spend time with your kids. I like my son too, but I do have a life outside being a parent. Do you work on cars, boats, your house? Create cool things with wood? Something. You have to show yourself as more than one dimensional.

Even a children's book you read to you kids? If you really can't come up with something I guess this is OK.



I don't see many negative statements, which is good. I just think you put a smidge more than the bare minimum. I'm not going to comment on your photos at this time.

Thanks for all the tips AndieIsMe I greatly appreciate it. As I said, I had been a free member for awhile and just recently started paying and since I am more serious now I wanted to get some advice on my profile. I totally forgot to fill in the book thing. I read that book because my daughter told me what it was about so after she finished it I borrowed it from here to read. I have made some changes to my profile so if anyone would kindly take another look over it and let me know what you think I would greatly appreciate it. Also the pictures I have on here are what I have on my profile as well and the captions should be the same also.


The one thing Michael is most passionate about: I am most passionate about helping others that are in need of help in anyway that I can. Even if it is just small things such as helping someone load their groceries in their car. If that puts a smile on their face then it makes me happy to know I made someone elses day better. I am also passionate about my family. We have been through alot together over the past years and I feel that has helped shape me into the person that I am today.

I spend my time with my kids mostly, but when I am not spending time with them I like to go to the movies, do work out in the yard or to my house, walk my dog and play games on my computer. I also like to volunteer my time when possible to causes that I care about such as organizations that help kids with cancer and their families.

The last book Michael read and enjoyed:

My Sister's Keeper. It is about a young girl who has a sister with Leukimia. Over the years she has help donoate blood and bone marrow to her sister, but one day she finds out her sister needs a kidney and the parents try to force the younger sister to donate one of hers. The younger sister then sues for medical emancipation to keep from having to donate one of her kidneys. I liked the fact that the 2 sisters were so close to one another and that the older sister was so strong throughout the years with fighting cancer. She reminded me alot of my daughter when she was ill at a younger age.
