I have a closed match stuck under Archived. It is totally closed out and there should be none on my Archived list

Yup, that's what the majority here and on the blogs is saying.

Yup, I've got three like that. I guess they're hoping my desire to communicate with these matches will overcome the technical impossibility of doing so.

LOL that's what I sort of thought, too! With all this difficulty, I'd almost rather skip guided communication. Time's a tickin!!

I find it disheartening that this discussion has fallen inactive and that the eHarmony rep Lori has decided to bury threads like this by posting all of these question workshop topics.

If you really want to take customer service seriously, criticism of these changes should be a sticky topic on this board where you make an open forum available for members to give feedback about the loss of functionality we recently received.

To recap:

We used to be able to send closed reasons. Now, we cannot.
We used to be able to send final messages. Now, we cannot.
There used to be a second chance built into the interface. No longer.

We are already seeing threads about the effects of the changes: women are not getting closed at all now. People are confused about why they were closed.

I personally am uncomfortable using the system because I cannot give close reasons anymore. I feel like a jerk, and I hate not being able to just follow the advice that Dr. Warren's articles have been telling me all along in this regard.

We are paying the same price for a lesser service. It's dishonest on the part of eHarmony, and they need to fix it.

I was recently closed out by quite a few in Stage 3 & 4 and don't know why. Maybe I took too long to respond?

To add insult to injury, I cannot even review the Open Communication message that I sent since it's totally blocked.

I don't mind the idea of an Archived Tab... I DO mind all the other crappy changes that came along with it. If a match is too far or the photo too repulsive, I still have to Archive before I can Close... TWO steps to close... only adding even more work to something that should be pleasant and fun.

I can guarantee that Lori and her team are not burying your posts by bringing up all the workshop threads. The members usually determine, by how active they are within threads, whether threads move off the main board pages.

So, people just didn't find this the most interesting of threads. Or they found another thread that interested them more. That happens.

I trust that Lori and other Admins are bringing our concerns to EH attention. But I suspect there is a middle manager or two somewhere in the outsourced software development branch who simply don't understand the effects of pretty ones and zeros on people's lives.

So I did my part by messaging eh_product_team about the importance of lost final messages. And you guys can do as well.
I'm also pondering writing to the EH top management. I have found their email addresses online Contact list of eHarmony management • eHarmony Blog, including Dr. Warren's but doubt they are up-to-date.

I suspect that not only do they not understand this, I just don't think they really care.

Emailed Customer Care about this...now I'm up to 4.

Thank you for contacting eHarmony Customer Care.

I appreciate your concern regarding your matches in your Archived tab. I would like to inform you that we are working with our Engineering Team to resolve this technical issue and expect to have this completed very soon. We appreciate your patience while we work to correct this error.

We have a fantastic Advice section that I would love for you to take a look at. You can go to Dating Advice, Relationship Advice, and Free Dating Tips in order to view this great resource.
Guess I missed the part on here about how to rid myself of matches that I cannot take action on. I also wonder what soon means? eHarmony seems to operate on geologic time.
