even though I am not interested?!!

Why can't we PERMANENTLY delete closed matches? What **IS** the purpose of allowing closed matches access to our profiles if we are not interested?!!

What is it about closed matches still seeing your profile that bothers you? After all they can't actually do anything to you. I'm curious.

I am curious too? I am also a bit curious to know why you think that a closed match is even viewing your profile? Or why you would consider it to be $talking?

Do tell. Explain your paranoia.

Justcurious. For what it's worth. I have over 4,200 closed matches. The only time I go into my closed folder, is when a recent match requests to be re-opened. And that is usually on the first two pages. Since I know exactly who is requesting, I don't go digging thru all my closed matches.

eHarmony compared to other e-dating sites is probably the most secure, in regards to privacy.I don't know of any other e-dating that allows you to permanently delete matches.

Don't know if that helped any, but welcome to the boards

Just FYI Match allows you to "block" certain users. But the site works completely different to eHarmony and you don't "close" matches on Match. And of course on Match and most other sites anyone on the internet can see your profile and photos. You don't even have to be a member, paying or non-paying.

Well aware that match has a block feature. Doesn't work when the site allow it's members to create multiple profiles.
No they don't have a close button, but you can remove matches from your searches..

FWIW.. Match is moving towards a paying- non paying membership just like eH.. The only difference is paying members will have the ability to communicate with the non-paying and the NPM can communicate back.

Looking at a profile is not stalking.

Not sure why the emphasis on STRANGERS, either. Obviously someone on a dating site is going to be a stranger at first.

I'd suggest focusing on the results you get, like people you meet or talk to, rather than worry about silly stuff like who looks at your profile.

Only thing I can think of, is that she is afraid of getting caught cheating?

Perhaps she Closed a guy she is currently seeing, because they are "Talking outside of EHarmony", and doesn't want him to know that she continues to update her Profile in hopes of landing a bigger fish?

Otherwise, it is a mystery to me as well.

It does sound like online might not be the OP's best date-seeking venue.
