After a lot of thought and taking the input I was given in my previous post into consideration, I've overhauled my profile. This is what I've come up with... Feel free to give me some constructive criticism.

The one thing Brooke is most passionate about:
My reasons for getting out of bed in the morning include my family and friends, my career, and my enthusiasm for seeing what the new day may bring. My family and friends support, encourage, and motivate me. My career inspires and fulfills me. And my enthusiasm keeps me always hopeful that each new day will be even better than the last.

The most important thing Brooke is looking for in a person is:
Integrity and honesty... Trust is necessary for a healthy, strong relationship and without honesty and integrity trust becomes difficult to have

About Me
Basic Information

Occupation:
RN
Age:
41
Height:
4' 10"
Wants Kids:
No
Ethnicity:
White, non-Hispanic
Religion:
Christian
Drinks:
A few times a year
Smokes:
Never

In my own words
The most influential person in Brooke's life has been:
My best friend of the past 25 years. She and I have done a lot of growing and changing during that time and she's been at my side through it all. We were young teenagers when we first met ... thought we knew it all. Now we're older and wiser, and we know just how much we don't know.

The three things which Brooke is most thankful for:
my family & friends who mean the world to me
my health which allows me to be as active as I wish
Sunshine that reminds me of all there is to be thankful for

Three of Brooke's best life-skills are:
Being a good friend and companion
Maintaining a network of close friends
Cooking for my family and friends

The one thing Brooke wishes MORE people would notice about her is:
My happy-go-lucky nature can sometimes make it difficult to see the intelligence and depth beneath the surface.

The things Brooke can't live without are:
cell phone that allows me to stay in touch
tooth brush & tooth paste for a bright smile
pets; my brat cat makes me smile
chocolate ... any chocolate will do
love in my life

The first thing people notice about Brooke is:
My height, or lack thereof.

Some additional information Brooke wanted you to know is:
I'm a lifelong animal lover. Dogs, cats, horses... love them all. I have a happy, full life. I'm not looking for someone to make me happy but to share in my happiness and enrich it. I'm pretty independent and spontaneous... will take off for a day trip to the coast at the drop of a hat on sunny day off work. I'm dependable... make it a point of always following through if I say I'm going to do something. I am comfortable in my own skin and have come to be proud of the person I am. This jumble of statements is only a beginning of who I am.

My interests
Brooke typically spends her leisure time:
I enjoy the beach a great deal, I enjoy reading, and I enjoy going swimming in the river on a hot summer day. I watch some tv, but not a great deal. I enjoy cooking (can whip up a pretty decent lasagna) and reading up on new topics. If something catches my attention that I'm not very familiar with I enjoy learning more about it.

The last book Brooke read and enjoyed:
I'm actually reading a legal mystery right now by Lisa Scottoline that I'm enjoying. It's easy, entertaining reading.
According to my friends:

Brooke's friends describe her as:
Warm
Affectionate
Outgoing
Sweet

One thing that only Brooke's best friends know is:
I can't think of anything. I'm kind of an open book most of the time.

Hi Brooke!
From your profile the image I have of you is that you are bright, warm, make good connections with people, fun, with an active mind and curiosity. If that's an accurate picture of you, you've conveyed it well! If you think that's not quite right, you might want to edit. Your profile is interesting and fun to read, and is well-written.

The only suggestion I have is:

This is a very common and generic answer to this question and is a waste of an opportunity to say something catching on your profile.

A better way to use the space is:
- tell something quirky and interesting that most people aren't aware of about you -- doesn't have to be some deep dark secret, in fact, better that it not be! Some odd job you once had, an unusual interest of yours ... that kind of thing.
- make a fun joke that does reveal something about you. "I am one of the best Wii players in the world" or whatever.

Good luck!

Thanks, Sass. I think that is a fairly accurate portrayal of myself. And as for the part about only my best friend knows I can't edit that online since eH has changed to a newer format... so I'll just have to leave it. But thanks for the input.

This may sound a bit picky but you could get rid of the word 'difficult'. It sounds like it is going to be hard to find. "At first you may notice my happy-go-lucky nature but as you get to know me you will see the intelligence and depth beneath the surface"

The first thing people notice about Brooke is:
My height, or lack thereof.
I'm pretty sure this question asks for something other than your appearance. Your height is already listed in your profile. Can you put something else here?

The rest of it sounds great! It was hard to critique. You sound happy, and I get the impression that you make people feel good. People will be drawn to that.

There is a big difference between a laundry list of "reasons for getting out of bed in the morning" and passion!

I am a firm believer that you should state a true passion here and elaborate on it.

As you are marketing yourself to men who are hoping to get some of your passion you should show it in your profile. Something that you are really into and is unique about you is ideal. You say you like to cook and you are into chocolate so, just as an example, you might have a passion that sounds like this: (it's a bit exaggerated but I am just trying to illustrate my point.)

"I am passionate about making really good chocolate deserts. I can whip up the most decadent confections with sugar, eggs, and a bar of dark chocolate. I have made 312 perfect chocolate deserts over my lifetime and keep a record of them in my personal cookbook which I hope some day to publish."
