In my profile on eH I said the one thing I wish more people noticed about me is my intelligence. It's just a pet peeve of mine to have my intelligence insulted. But I'm thinking the wording of that so bluntly could be seen as... arrogant? And that's not really how I mean it. So do any of you have any suggestions to offer how I can reword that? Thanks so much.

"Intelligence" would also be my honest answer to that question, but like you, I can't think of a good way to say that without sounding pompous, so I left it out.

Hi Cat,
You could also be giving your matches the opposite impression. If you say that you wish people noticed your intelligence some readers may assume that you are not very bright and are in denial about it. Maybe make the paragraph more specific? "I wish people would notice my love for...." or "...my knowledge of ...."

Ah, of course. I like the be more specific advice. Maybe... "The fact that my happy-go-lucky nature sometimes hides the deepness and intelligence I harbor."

Did you just put "My intelligence."?

I guess my mind is not working very well at the moment and I have no good suggestions. But my preference when reading profiles is to see more than just a one word answer to any of the questions. In this case tell me why you are intelligent or maybe why people don't seem to recognize that you are intelligent. I noticed that you are an RN so my first assumption in viewing your profile would be that you must be intelligent or you would never have been able to have become an RN.

Maybe we have the same issue! I used this:
'My intelligent mind. Sometimes the remaining hint of my Alabama accent disguises my intellectualism and my love of literature, politics, arts, Joseph Campbell, Carl Sagan, Rumi and Byron!
