Not really gonna complain about it. But, has anyone else noticed this? I sometimes, most of the time actually, will hit the "Find New Matches" link on my account. I did this at 1:30 am on Friday. Then, today at about 5:30 pm or so, I get another 7 or 8 matches.

I thought, "hmmm, interesting." So, being logical, I thought I wouldn't get any matches tonight when I hit the "FNM" link. Well, I did. So, in 24 hours I've received approximate 21 matches. I'm almost tempted to hit the link again, just to see what happens.

Anyone else getting an exceptionally high number of matches lately?

Yep, I sure have been getting a lot. And it's all BS matches.

I have too, just in the last two days. But before that, new matches always popped up first thing in the morning, and not again until the next morning. I don't know how all this works yet, but I like that schedule. Then I can check them all at once.

Proudgeek.... BS matches? maybe, but I'm getting way too many flexible matches.

Well, technically, yes, since I've received about 7 or 8 total the past 7-10 days as opposed to my usual 0 or 2-4, but they're all of the no photos/bare profile variety and so far not responding to photo requests, so that still leaves me with zero.

I haven't tried the FNM button, so will do that. Thanks for the tip.

I thought it was just me. I had NO matches for over two weeks (zip, zilch, nada) and now I get approx five per day, all flexible and 90% too far away. I thought the distance thing was really odd but I checked and my distance preferences hadn't been changed erroneously. I wonder what gives.

That's what I mean by "BS matches"

I think EH did not really find any matches for us, but feels "obligated" to send us SOMETHING.

A person gets tired of being rejected/ignored/closed on a regular basis. Better to send a FEW *good* matches, than a ton of Flexible and distant matches.

I mean, I live in San Leandro, and I've been getting matches in like, central CA. Stockton? Benicia? Really, eHarmony? Really?

For the past number of weeks I have been getting an unusually few matches. However, having been on eHarmony since before dirt I can tell you that the number of matches you receive each day is cyclical.

Also, from the FWIW department. When you click on the Find New Matches the system goes and performs the search at that time and if it finds new matches for you they will be displayed at the end of the search which takes a minute or two.

Distance has an importance factor. If you want to keep your matches to hold tightly to your distance setting then you should set the Importance to the highest Very Important possible.

I've been consistently getting matches, but I've only been back on for the past month. Of course, eH STILL isn't telling me about my matches (so I guess they're "secret" matches), and I'm tired of going round and round with "customer service" about why I'm not getting email notifications, but the number of flexible matches is very low.

Andie, I have noticed the same thing you've noticed with using the find new matches button, and I find that I get matches for a few days at a couple of different times until it levels off again. Have you found that, too?

Mine's actually pretty tight--but like a lot of people, driving experience depends on the direction so I do have it set down a notch. Going towards LA....yikes! Going east isn't too bad.

I was really stunned to see one match from north of LA and even one from Nevada. In reality it's not a huge deal since I just close them. What I find disheartening is that they are all flexible and I really don't get "why now....."

But again--I just close them so its a few seconds out of my day, nothing more. I wish that was my biggest problem but my backpack had mold on it and now my apart. smells like teetree oil.....!!
