An Eharmony user and I have been emailing each other for about three weeks now. The emails are very good emails and I have slowly got to know her just a little bit. I have never gave an eharmony user any of my contact information. But today I decided to email her my number and told her that I would like to meet her sometime. She lives about 250 miles away. I really don't know what I want from her yet. 1. because I have never seen her and 2 I deploy to Afghanistan in 4 months. But I do find all of her emails very interesting and I am attracted to her picture. Am I crazy for telling her that I would like to meet up with her and giving her my number considering the circumstances? I'm pretty new to this match and internet communication so some input would be awsome.

Well, I think the whole point of this Eharmony thing is to meet and find out if you are compatible so I say go for it. I don't think it is crazy at all.

Not crazy. You found an interesting person; why wouldn't you try to meet before you take off? Go for it!

Do I understand that you are not on eHarmony? How did you meet?

I believe in meeting sooner than later so I agree with the others that you should meet. Be up front that you are going to be deployed to Afghanistan in four months.
