Okay this has gotten revamped from what it once was. I had the last part (what my best friends know) removed because i couldn't change it and I didn't like what I had written.

Also, if you don't like my spirituality or how often i mention it, please don't comment as this profile is obviously not aimed at you. thanks!

The one thing Brendon is most passionate about: Helping others see the beauty that I see, whether it's in themselves or in the world around them. If I can do this with my words, my acting, my music, or my writing, I will.

The most important thing Brendon is looking for in a person is: Trust and understanding.

Basic Information

Occupation:Currently an actor, waiter, and writer. Age:27Height:6' 0"Wants Kids:Yes
Ethnicity:White, non-HispanicReligion:Christian Drinks:A few times a yearSmokes:A few times a year

In my own words

The most influential person in my life has been:

I would say J.R.R Tolkien. His writings inspired me in what it means to be a man of honor and dignity, to serve others and to take a great journey of sacrifice for others. He also showed me the wonder of good friends and companionship, and also of how a woman can inspire a man in ways that go beyond physical desire. All of this I saw at an early age, and I know it has helped shape my view of life for years.

The three things which I am most thankful for:
  • For being raised with Love and kindness by parents, family, and a loving God.
  • For the fact I am allowed to wake up each morning to experience the new day, not all can say the same.
  • I am thankful for the talents I have been given and the God who gave them to me.
Three of my best life-skills are:
  • Achieving personal goals
  • Communicating my innermost thoughts and feelings
  • Finding pleasure and contentment in simple things

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me is:

That I am an intimate person that loves to talk from the heart. I wish more people would ask me what I'm thinking about when I get a serious look on my face, because it is then that I most want to share what I'm thinking. I often think people don't want to hear what it is I have to say when I get like that.

The things I can't live without are:
  • A relationship with God
  • Living near the woods and fields
  • Being around people everyday
  • Good music to sing to
  • Reading and writing to my heart's content

The first thing people notice about me is:

That I'm confident and that I wear my heart on my sleeve.

Some additional information I wanted you to know is:

I love the outdoors, to walk and be amongst nature, hiking and climbing whenever and wherever the notion takes me. I also love to talk, to listen, and to write. I am well spoken and a people person, rarely shy and always love to be around others. I am also a bit of nerd in that I always love the Lord of the Rings and find it one of the most beautiful series of books ever written. I easily admit I am not perfect, but i will always strive for it.

My interests

I typically spend my leisure time:

I enjoy reading lots of literature, singing along with all of my music, and writing. I love to watch a lot of different movies, action, drama, or ones that make you cry. I love to talk to friends and spend time with people. I also like to walk outside and enjoy the day, sometimes even if it's raining outside.

The last book I read and enjoyed:

The last book I read was "The Four Loves" by CS Lewis. Wonderful book, and he is always a joy to read. The section labeled "Eros" was particularly interesting.

According to my friends:

My friends describe me as:
  • Romantic
  • Perceptive
  • Spiritual
  • Passionate

Hi Navigator!
It's a nice profile -- well written, seems sincere, is not generic. From reading it I have the impression that you are thoughtful, quiet, very spiritual, artistic, an idealist -- if this is accurate then you have succeeded at describing yourself.

I would delete the last sentence of "wish people would notice" -- "I often think people don't want to hear ...". It has a slightly peevish, chip-on-the-shoulder tone to it, that probably you don't intend.

It is a nice profile and I find it to be very pleasant. However, I think you have narrowed your target audience/potential matches down a bit too much. I find it a bit too.....intimidating? I let my girlfriend read it and she was quite overwhelmed as well. Not any one thing I might add. She also mentioned that its almost.....too good to be true? I find it to be very honest though and thorough. I would like to know if you are searching for another "you" in your matches or someone that is willing to accept you for who you actually are?

I agree with livenlearn regarding the 'not all can say the same' statement. I understand what you're trying to say, but this could be reworded.
On the nitpicky grammar side, is there a reason 'Love' is capitalized in the first bullet?

Three of my best life-skills are:
  • Achieving personal goals
  • Communicating my innermost thoughts and feelings
  • Finding pleasure and contentment in simple things

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me is:

That I am an intimate person that loves to talk from the heart. I wish more people would ask me what I'm thinking about when I get a serious look on my face, because it is then that I most want to share what I'm thinking. I often think people don't want to hear what it is I have to say when I get like that.

Grammar: Speak would be better than talk in the first sentence.
Content: Agree with Sassafras that the last sentence could use revision.

The things I can't live without are:
  • A relationship with God
  • Living near the woods and fields
  • Being around people everyday
  • Good music to sing to
  • Reading and writing to my heart's content

The first thing people notice about me is:

That I'm confident and that I wear my heart on my sleeve.

I am also a bit of nerd in that I always love the Lord of the Rings and find it one of the most beautiful series of books ever written. I easily admit I am not perfect, but i will always strive for it.

Grammar: 4th sentence, should be 'I have always loved the Lord of the Rings...' Last sentence, 'i' should be capitalized.
Content: Not sure how crazy I am about the last sentence. It's good to be striving for goals, but perfection? I would consider revising the sentence.

Grammar: After movies, should be a semicolon or colon.
Content: This is really nitpicky, but you might want to revise third sentence to say 'talk with friends' instead of to. Also, might be worthwhile to expand on what you do when you spend time with people - this is your chance to give your matches a better sense of who you are.

The last book I read and enjoyed:

The last book I read was "The Four Loves" by CS Lewis. Wonderful book, and he is always a joy to read. The section labeled "Eros" was particularly interesting.

Grammar: Second sentence - suggest 'Wonderful book; he is always...'
Content: I would expand on what the book is about.

According to my friends:

My friends describe me as:
  • Romantic
  • Perceptive
  • Spiritual
  • Passionate
Overall it's a good profile and I think it provides a good snapshot of who you are. For some people, the grammar issues aren't a big deal. I commented on them because for me they are - it indicates that you put some extra effort into your profile.

I would like to thank you guys for your critiques. I appreciate them a great deal.

As to ATLpr8head's question, I am looking for someone to accept me as I am, I would never want to trump through the world trying to find another me. I never found another guy friend who was like me until I was 23, I don't expect to find any girl exactly the same as myself. But a good question, thank you. I have, in the past, been told I seem too good to be true in person even from people I've met and wanted to ask out. I will never understand that reasoning, especially in person where you can tell if the person is being authentic or not. I would think a scam would sound, I don't know, more hoaky or infomercial-ish. Like the lies are so thick you can slice through them with a knife.

And given that I am a writer, it's best that I nitpick on my grammar as much as possible, so I thank you guys for drawing that to my attention. I've already made many of the changes suggested.

Anything else come to mind?
