This question is mostly for the guys.
Do you prefuer to use the ice beraker as frist contact, or just jump to the frist set of questins?
I my self like to use the ice breaker frist, as a way of saying hay, Im intersted in you, lets start the comunication prossess.I wouldent walk up to a stranger and just start asking a bunch of personal questions, so the ice breaker just seems mor polite to me than bombarding a guy with a load of questions.
I would like to know how you all feel about this .
Thanks

Ordinarily, first questions are better, because if you send icebreakers first it's a clue that you aren't a paying member and can't respond to anything I send you until a FCW.

However, if a match has been hanging a couple weeks with no communication, seems harmless to me to send an icebreaker as a tickler to see if they're completely dormant or just waiting for that FCW so they can talk back.

I don't mind the ice-breakers if the IB sent required me to take action on my profile or add pictures. I would only use them for that purpose.

I don't get sending an ice-breaker wink. (which I just got) Just send the 1st questions if your interested..

Okay.. I am answering your 1st questions

Faraday .How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop?

Trek: Seven

Faraday:. Where do you live?

Trek: In a van down by the river

Faraday: Have you ever slept with a girl on a first date

Trek: Yes! When I was in kindergarten , I slept next to Jenny on the nap-time mats. The mats were under the winda where our milk carton plants (love ferns) we made together were getting sunshine. She dumped me two weeks later for a 1st grader with a big wheel .

I ask this question because I did jist sent ou 12 of them to see if making the frist move would get more responces, but right after sending them, I wondered if I shoud have sent out questions insted. one of my (Winks) did look at my profile, but so far no one has responded. So all these guys must think Im not a paying member then.

Some probably think that, and some probably don't think that.

Not everyone has been on eH long enough to know what some things like icebreakers usually mean. Don't be frustrated!

Im tring to break out of my comfort zone, and be a bit more assertive, by contacting them, rather than waiting to see who contacts me. I feel I need to be as only 1/4 of my matches live less than 2 hours away from me.

I like it when matches make first contact with me. I encourage you to keep doing that - but send the first questions first so they have something to respond to.

The icebreakers aren't conversation starters; the questions are.
