I have a match I went through GC with, this is the guy who took 13 days to respond. So he finally responded, I sent the first OC msg and he actually replied pretty quickly to that, then I sent back my response within a day or two. Now he is back to that taking forever to respond stage. Yet he stills views my profile every day. It makes me wonder why he views my profile every day, but takes so long to respond.

Since eH isn't sending me email notifications when I get a communication of any kind from someone, I have to check my account every day, especially since I am in GC stage with 3 other matches, plus this guy. I have also been getting flooded with flexible matches out of the blue. Most of those get closed out on either end pretty quickly. I don't know if it's just me, but those flexible matches kinda give off an "ick" factor. Just how flexible ARE they?

Did you turn-off email notifications?

Flexible matches still match you in the compatibility criteria (29 dimensions) but they do not exactly match your set matching criteria(age, location, etc)

Nope, not turned off. Double and triple checked the e-mail notifications. eH is "checking" on that.

Those are some pretty loose set matching criteria to be flexible with. The guys are totally different than my real matches! lol

It's a good thing patience is a virtue. I am learning it in spades.

Trek.. I still think you need to move here.

I'm not getting email notifications either--not when I get matches, not when they communicate, not for anything. I've contacted customer service, they wrote me back right away and I knew their suggestion wasn't the issue, so I wrote them back. They gave me this long list of questions, which I answered a few days ago. I haven't heard anything since.

If I didn't log in every single day, I'd have missed the opportunity to close out Mr. Ego!

Wait... I will wait for all your sage advice when you get here. Then again, I won't need to ask questions and seek your sage advice if you ARE here! lol

I had a guy that took forever to respond too, but my guess is that it's possible that he's not a member. I also took forever to respond to someone because the third step to the GC is usually the step that can take me several days to respond. I just usually never know how to respond. I will also go back and look at their profile to see how I should respond. Sometimes I just simply don't have the time to give a good, thorough response.

I've gotten several flexible matches too, but none give me an ick factor. Maybe take the time to know them and double check your search criteria. Good luck!!

As Trek mentioned Flexible matches meet the 29 Dimensions of Compatibility. The flexibility part is on the things that are in your Settings and it is more a filter than a matching thing. You can control how flexible the filter by adjusting the slider on most of the items in your Settings. The default placement for the sliders is in the middle which makes each setting quite flexible (not very important). For example let's take age. (I did not check your age if you have it listed) Say you have your age range set 35 to 45, if you set the slider in the middle then you are likely going to be matched with people from 30 to 50 or maybe even a wider range. If, however, age is very important to you and you set the slider to the most very important setting then you would not be matched to, say, someone who was 46. Certain of the Settings may be very important to you while others may not be so important. You should go through all your Settings and set the slider to a Very Important setting for those things that you are not very flexible on and something more to the middle of the range for those items that are not so important to you.

Since the core values as determined by the 29 Dimensions will always be met by all your matches I can't see that your Flexible Matches would be so widely different as to be icky.
