Hi All,

You may have noticed that there has been a change to the About Me section of your eHarmony Singles profile. This week, all members' profiles will be updated to this new format.

Here are the basic changes:

1. At the top of the page, there will be a MY Profile status bar indicating the percentage of completion.

2. General Information will be called Basics.

3. Introductory Information will be provided in two parts under In My Own Words. Also, to help our members answer the About Me questions, we know provide sample answers.

4. Must Haves and Can’t Stands will now be incorporated into a new section called Values.

We hope that you will like the new format and find it easier to use. Constructive feedback is always welcome, so please let us know what you think of if you have any questions.

Renee.. I think the changes are great...

A few things I noticed..When giving the percentage of your profile is complete, It no longer tells you what part of your profile is incomplete. Or am I missing something?


Either I never noticed the sample answers to the questions or it's new? I think they're great for the newbies, but can they get anymore cliche' with the sample answer provided for the What are you most passionate question ... ( I just think it's funny)

I am passionate about living life to its fullest! For me that includes traveling to new places and experiencing all sorts of things.


Other than that.. I think EH did a great job..

Alas, this change has no affect on the first two areas.

But, if it encourages you to review your Profile and you make some changes or additions to it, it may positvely affect your matches' willingness to communicate!

Glad you like the change over all!

You're not missing anything. On the About Me page, only the completion percentage is provided. But you can still find out what sections are or are not complete on your Home page.

Speaking of which, one of the 4 categories listed on your Home page is Verify Your ID. As most members know, this refers to our relyID Premium Service, which members are encourged to add to their profile. Because it is included in this list, it is also included in the completion percentage.

So, if your status isn't 100%, but your Home page shows that you have answered all your About Me questions, picked your Must Haves/Can't Stands, and posted photos, it's because you have chosen at this time not to purchase the relyID service.

Yes, I know what you mean about the "living life to the fullest" sample sentence. But, like this sample answer, if you're going to include a cliche, make sure to elaborate on what you mean by it!

I have a quick question about the RelyID. Does it stay with you after your subscription lapses? If I verify who I am once and then I renew with a subscription without the option, does it still stay on my profile?

AndieIsMe: RelyID expires 12 months after purchase, at which time the RelyID logo will be removed from your profile. So if your eHarmony subscription expires or you close your account and re-open it within the 12 months, the RelyID logo will remain on your profile.

The only way you will lose the verification is if you change information on your eHarmony account such as your first name, address,or other identifying information.

Once the RelyID subscription expires, you'll need to repurchase the service again in order for the logo to be placed back on your profile.

Gr8Guyn2008: I sincerely hope very few! Everyone can see the sample answers; so copying and pasting them into your own profile isn't going to make a very good impression on matches.

My About me say 95% complete. But everything is filled in and I have several photos posted. So what is the 5% that is incomplete?
